25.01.2022 Book Week is nearly over and what a fantastic turnout we had! It has been so exciting seeing all the different costumes and rooms have had the best time reading all the children's favourite books. At BCCC we enjoy hosting various events over the year to bring our community together. Thank you to all our wonderful families and educators! ... Here are just a few photos we captured over the week.

24.01.2022 Another huge congratulations to Chen, Jyoti, Marina and the Kangaroo Blue children for their terrific efforts on their art show! Every year the kindergarten children put together an art gala showcasing their creative designs over the year. The teachers work extremely hard over this time making sure to include each child’s creations. Well done Kangaroo Blue you should be very proud

23.01.2022 Thank you to all the families who donated their bread tags for Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs. This wonderful organisation recycles these to raise funds to buy wheelchairs for the needy in South Africa. We handed them into our local collection point yesterday If you would like to still donate bread tags please feel free to drop them off to the office.

23.01.2022 INTERNATIONAL WEDNESDAYS! Multiculturalism is an important element here at BCCC. Our culturally diverse centre is made up of many families with origins in over 19 nations. To encourage multiculturalism inclusion, we have started International Wednesdays on our 3rd and 1st floor. Each week we provide a cuisine from a different nation. ... So far we have had Mexican bake and this week we are having chicken risotto. Yum, yum!

22.01.2022 One of our beautiful families provided the staff at BCCC with a yummy morning tea to say thank you for remaining open and exceeding expectations during the pandemic. Thank you so much, it was very much appreciated!!

21.01.2022 Wow how great does Samantha look in her new BCCC outfit!

20.01.2022 A big congratulations to Rita, Ruth and the Possum Pink children on a fantastic art show! The hard work the children and teachers did to create these beautiful pieces was outstanding. Well done to everyone

20.01.2022 #StayEnrolled Our industry is experiencing a dramatic decline in enrolments, impacting hundreds of thousands of early childhood educators employment. We are essential workers in the frontline working for families and children in need. Without us, how do the fireman, police, doctors, nurses, politicians, grocery store employees, and so many more continue to operate our country during this battle? BCCC understands so many industries are already facing crisis. When this is over..., when you return to work, study or additional activities, we want to be here for you, but we can only do that if we sustain our centres costs and retain our wonderful educators! For anyone experiencing financial hardship, we have processs in place with Centrelink to keep your child/ren enrolled. Allowable absences have increased to ensure you can still be covered by CCS or ACCS whilst keeping your child at home until you feel its best they attend. Please come speak to the office if you have any questions, we would love to help you all!

20.01.2022 Thank you Lucrecia!! We wish you all the best for the birth of your baby girl. Congratulations and enjoy your maternity leave

20.01.2022 Thank you to one of our lovely parents who sent this to us. It is a helpful site where you can download a covi book to support and reassure your child during this time. https://www.mindheart.co/descargables

20.01.2022 We have some new and exciting recipes that will appear shortly in our new Spring Menu! Keep an eye out on the online kitchen for some yummy new food items!

19.01.2022 Today we had some very exciting visitors at BCCC. The Possum Pink children have been exploring community helpers and asked if they could have a visit from the fire department. Today all the 3rd Floor children were able to come to the back of the building and meet some firemen, see how the fire hose works and hear the siren go off. What a great morning for all :)

16.01.2022 The Possum Green children are currently fascinated in sea life. Miss Samantha and Miss Sariyeh have created this beautiful area in their room for the children to explore. One of the children voiced they like the book The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. We have attached a link for families to watch the animated video of the book. https://iview.abc.net.au/show/snail-and-the-whale

15.01.2022 We are happy to share another fantastic compliment about our Kindergarten program! Hi girls I wanted to share the news that Linka received an award in school assembly this week for achieving a great start to school and always doing the right thing. I wanted to credit your Centre and particularly the teachers in Kangaroo Blue for empowering her to make such a successful transition into Prep. The lessons and guidance Linka has received over the four years at BCCC have made ...a long-lasting and positive impact on her life, helping her to become a confident and caring individual that strives to do her best at school every day and is loving it. I am very happy that Jack gets to experience the same journey with BCCC and excited to see how he grows as he follows his sisters footsteps. Thankful and grateful Angela

14.01.2022 We have new facilities at BCCC! HelloFresh can now be ordered with delivery to BCCC and Pinelands Dry Cleaners will now pick up your dry cleaning and laundry items in the morning and return items to BCCC. We hope these services will help parents with their busy schedules.

14.01.2022 At BCCC we aim to achieve the very best when it comes to our educational programs. Our Early Childhood Teachers develop the childrens skills in areas of social interaction, play, language, emotional development, physical skills, literacy and fine motor skills. Supporting children to develop in these areas makes an easy and successful transition into school. ... Please see below a recent email we received from one of our long term parents talking about our Kindergarten program from last year Read was very calm on the first day at Prep (gave us a quick hug & kiss before getting on with writing his name). When we picked him up he gave his teacher a huge hug, and told us he had TWO lunches and they ate outside (!!). Read has had a great couple of weeks in Prep, and the transition to school has gone well. Read has been enjoying the play, learning new things (hexagons, lots of new songs) and swimming at school. The transition went so smoothly in part to the work that the Kangaroo Blue educators did preparing Read for big school. Thanks again to all of the team at BCCC for the excellent care, attention and love that they gave Read for the 4 years he spent at the centre.

08.01.2022 Happy Early Childhood Educators Day to all our fabulous educators! We appreciate all the hard work and dedication you put towards caring, educating and nurturing the children here at BCCC. Thank you to all the families and their kind words, gifts and yummy goodies.

08.01.2022 Even though National Book week for 2020 has been moved to the middle of October; BCCC thought it would still be a great opportunity for everyone to come together and acknowledge the importance of reading books in our daily programs. The children have already started bringing in their books from home to share with their class. The Possum Pink children read Alpacas and Maracas and as an extension activity they made their very own maracas using egg containers, rice and forks. What a clever way to bring music to children.

08.01.2022 Dental Health Week is the Australian Dental Associations major annual oral health campaign. It takes place each year in the first full week of August and this year is takes place between August 3 9. The campaign is aimed to educate Australians about the importance of maintaining good oral health by promoting four key messages: Brush twice a day Clean between your teeth daily using floss or inter dental brushes.... Eat a healthy, balanced diet and limit sugar intake. Visit the dentist regularly for check-ups and preventive care. Possum Yellow spent the morning talking about foods that are good and not so good for teeth.

06.01.2022 During these tough times its important more than ever to support each other and try to bring happiness to others. We want to thank the educators for their support and flexibility while we work through the on going circumstances that are happening at the moment. We also wanted to support our local patisserie (Petite Treats) who were able to help supply morning tea for the staff.

04.01.2022 The roof top playground in Spring has brought on many topics here within the 3rd floor rooms. Many of the children have been interested in learning about flowers, colours, insects and the plants we have growing in our veggie garden. The educators have created many Spring sensory activities to art, literacy, math and science so that the children can explore and understand different concepts around Spring.

03.01.2022 Today was our first day of haircuts at BCCC! Every 6 weeks we now offer haircuts to the children here at the centre, in the comfort of their room. The children all had a positive experience and even had an audience watch them while they had their hair done! We hope this service is helpful to all our families, and assists the children who may feel scared of going to the Hairdressers. If you would like to book your child in for a haircut, Deslie will be back again on the 7th of May 2020. To book please visit the website below. https://milkhair.com/bookly/

03.01.2022 Every year BCCC holds parent teacher meetings for the Kindergarten parents. We aim to help create a smooth transition for the families who will be moving to Prep the following year. Meetings like these play part of the overall on going communication we have with our families. They give parents the opportunity to spend more time with the teacher and also to ask any questions they may have around their childs development.
