23.01.2022 Love a sustainable idea and a craft. Our friends at The Nest Community INC shared this link for a free tutorial.

23.01.2022 Are you looking for a great Christmas gift? Or maybe you've been meaning to pick this one up for yourself? The In My Country Kitchen recipe book showcases recipes created by our QCWA members from outback to sea. Explore the produce from across Queensland with recipes reflecting what is grown, fished or farmed. A truly unique book to add to your collection. Collating of recipes by the Country Kitchens team of dietitians ensured a balance of healthy family meals. We are sell...ing it for $40 and you can collect it from our branch meeting on Wednesday evening 25 November. You can pay on collection. Place your order in the form using this link. https://forms.gle/N2snqDbaZZ5JPkQi7 If you're not yet a member, please do come along. We meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month from 6.30pm, post a comment below and we can send you more details.

22.01.2022 Until December 23

13.01.2022 When your workplace asks you to judge the inter-divisional Christmas bake-off you pop on your QCWA badge and some elastic-waisted trousers and take one for the team! The baking winner was an amazing festive roulade complete with gold leaf. Honourable mentions to a gingerbread slice, cherry and marscapone tart, passionfruit melting moments, ANZAC biscuit caramel slice and a wonderfully creative Orange Sky cupcakes display in honour of the chosen charity Orange Sky Australia.

13.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing this in a couple of weeks

04.01.2022 Thanks Lynne for sharing another really useful skill to teach us to live more sustainably especially at Christmas. The art of Furoshiki wrapping is a wonderful ...habit and makes gift giving an even more special experience. Don't miss our final workshops for the year, this Friday night 4 Dec. Sponsored by Brisbane City Council, you can learn to make a Coat-Hanger Christmas Wreath for only $20. Bookings close soon. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/coat-hanger-christmas-wreat See more

01.01.2022 It’s pretty simple. 1. Explore your own neighbourhood 2. Find the Aussie owned business 3. Get to know them. Make it feel like your town.... Our vision at Shop My Town is to create desire for local product by telling the regions story. #circulareconomy occurs when we support the business right around our home. And then those business work to stock their shelves from local makers. The final loop in the cycle occurs when you can repair/recycle back to that store. None of it can happen if you don’t buy local first. Take a minute to look through @mossandsparrowkaralee from Ipswich QLD. Ponder how the local owner has spent thousands of hours of her precious life crafting the brand, the shopping experience, the product mix. Support her. #buylocal We guarantee your soul will thank you!
