24.01.2022 Hi Eagles Just a reminder that with the new covid cluster, it is very important that we continue to follow our covid safety plan. ... Businesses and sporting organisations can continue to operate provided they have a covid safety plan in place (which we do). This means that we will continue with indoor, Wednesday nights training and games unless there is a specific restriction put in place. As part of our covid safety plan: do not share water bottles/equipment maintain social distance off the field check in AND out club gear is provided to players where possible club pinnies are washed after every use stay home if you are unwell If you have been to any of the locations listed on the QLD webpage (https://www.qld.gov.au//cor/current-status/contact-tracing), you should monitor your health and if you develop any COVID-19 symptoms get tested. Please let the club know if this affects you. If we continue to do the right thing, we can continue to play and enjoy lacrosse. If you have any questions, please email the club on [email protected]

Profession: Food Scientist I started playing when I was 10 years old, it was the main sport at the school I went to in England. I then went onto play for our County team before moving to university in Wales where I played for Cardiff Uni and Cardiff Club sides. When I left uni I played a season for the Blues lacrosse before moving to Australia and joining the Eagles! Do you play any other sports? I've played most sports, more recently competing in tennis and touch. I also took up golf during COVID when everything else was shut down, much to Tash's dismay! How do you contribute to the Club? Hmmm....my personality What is your lacrosse aspiration? See the Eagles grow from strength to strength. Who is your lacrosse role model? Natasha Bronkhorst! Never have I ever met anyone so dedicated to the sport! What is your favourite part of playing lacrosse? The team! What is a fun fact about you? I have 3 kidneys! Philli has also organised the new unifroms for the Eagles and is a valuable member of the club. If you see her around, make sure to say hi !

Position: Defence Hannes got involved as a volunteer helping out in the club and thought he might be up for a challenge playing a new kind of sport. Do you play any other sports? I don’t play any other sport but always open for new challenges. Back in the day, I used to play rugby union at provincial level. How do you contribute to the Club? I helped establish Brisbane Eagles which is now in the capable hands of the young guns. What is your lacrosse aspiration? Be active as a player and moral supporter. I would like to represent QLD at Nationals as the oldest person Who is your lacrosse role model? Jean Bronkhorst is my lax role model. Very focused, puts his body on the line, tough as nails and a gentleman, both on and of the field. What is your favourite part of playing lacrosse? To be a team player. The competitiveness in this unique contact sport that is fast paced and needs quick thinking. What is a fun fact about you? 14.01.2022 Announcement Indoor is back Mt Gravatt State High School - 42 Loreburn Street, Mt Gravatt (parking on Roblyn Street). Times: 6.30pm for juniors/ beginners and 7.15pm for seniors experienced players.... $10 per session - Cycle 3 starting 11.8.20 to 1.9.20
