20.01.2022 Nostimo goes old school with the launch of a heartwarming new menu, the perfect option for lunch on a chilly winters day! Head chef Adam Carpenter and his team ...have collated a range of traditional greek dishes including the ultimate comfort food, slow braised giant beans on a rich tomato sauce with toasted bread. On our recent visit we had the pleasure of sampling a selection of dishes including the wild green filo triangles with a smokey eggplant dip as well as a sensational seafood plate consisting of perfectly cooked calamari, greek octopus & Kataifi prawns. A visit to Nostimo Restaurant Bar is not complete without a fix of the famous LAMB SKARAS- Sovereign Hill lamb, braised for 8 hours, finished on the grill for a smoky finish, herbed yoghurt, wilted leek and spinach... possibly the best lamb I have ever eaten! To finish, we enjoyed a delicious greek sweet breaded pudding served warm with metaxa brandy custard created by chef Eamon Barnes ...perfect with a authentic greek coffee. Then I suggest you checkout Paradox Coffee Roasters On our ...recent visit we had the pleasure of trying a selection of dishes from their new Summer menu including a very tasty breakfast taco full of fluffy scrambled eggs, chorizo, salsa verde and chilli relish. I’m a big lover of Buddha Bowl’s and the version at Paradox Coffee didn’t disappoint... edamame, chickpea, pumpkin garlic hummus, kale, broccolini with 2 poached eggs. Waffle fan’s are going to love the apple & blueberry crumble waffles, light and crunchy topped with almond coconut crumble and salted caramel ice cream. We finished with a refreshing lemon myrtle tea infused with butterfly pea flower! Definitely my new favourite brunch spot in Surfers Paradise! See more

10.01.2022 There’s been some new and exciting changes at Pepe Italia, Burleigh Heads! The decor has had a facelift and is now looking bright & fresh but still with a Italian homely charm. New head chef Fabio Minore has created a delicious menu featuring plenty of dishes that are a little less mainstream. Stand out menu items for me were the homemade Black Squid Ink Tagliatelle with Lobster.... absolutely sensational! The gourmet risotto and the Byron Bay burrata with zucchini and heirloom tomatoes were pretty special too. Perfect with a cheeky Pepe Pampelle Spritz from the new cocktail menu if you ask me. #gcfoodandwinetours Pepe Italia

08.01.2022 Looking for a great new breakfast destination in Broadbeach? Do yourself a favour and get on down to No Name Lane Cafe We were blown away by the plates of ...food presented by Chef Josh Roberts on our recent visit. Both presentation and execution of each dish was 5 star! I’m still dreaming about the Brioche French Toast with chocolate creme, banana chocolate crumble, fresh banana, salted caramel and vanilla ice cream! We also loved the Avocado Toast which was nothing like I had tried before with the sweetness and zing of home pickled baby cucumbers and crispy kale crackers...delicious! We also had the pleasure of trying the Pan Roast Salmon, Open Mushroom Omelette and the very Instagramable Pancake Stack. All I can say is, breakfast in Broadbeach just got a whole lot better! On our recent visit we tried the BBQ ocean trout... in banana leaf, dry red curry rub, young coconut and thai basil ... delicious! Highly recommend the signature 10hr coconut braised beef, sweet fragrant curry, green beans, roasted coconut, peanuts, young coconuts, kaffir lime and herbs.
