25.01.2022 Brisbane, while the Queensland Government is easing some restrictions on movement from Saturday 16 May, its important that we all stay safe. As you get out and... about re-exploring our city and region, make sure you keep up to date on the restrictions still in place. Dining in at restaurants, pubs, clubs, RSLs and cafes for a maximum of 10 patrons at one time will be allowed (no bars or gaming). Mulgumpin Moreton Island and Minjerribah North Stradbroke Island will also reopen for visitors, but you must abide by the 150km restrictions. Stay informed https://bit.ly/2Ynx6Q8 @don_good19

24.01.2022 Have you heard of Mount Tempest? It’s the highest point on Moreton Island and is the highest coastal sand dune in the world. Its elevation is similar to Mount Cootha @maipixie

21.01.2022 Today Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner joined our Brisbane Greeters to celebrate the eighth anniversary of the Brisbane Greeters program. Since Valentine's Day in 2012, the program has grown from humble beginnings of 12, to a mighty team of 150 volunteers, who are passionate about providing visitors with an understanding of Brisbane's history, lifestyle, and all there is to see and do in our wonderful city. The Greeters were treated to a lunch at the XXXX Brewery followed by a celebratory cake #brisbanegreeters

20.01.2022 BRB. Just booking time in my calendar for when I can meet Freddo and the gang The Llama Farm is located in Ipswich and is home to the largest herd of Llama's in QLD. During lockdown they have been introducing their audience to their gang and it is the best thing ever. We can't wait to meet Freddo in the coming months #visitbrisbane #discoveripswich #thellamafarm

17.01.2022 A few facts about our favourite bridge It remains the longest span suspension street in Australia, built with the support cables initially used in the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Today it still exists as the only habitable bridge in the Southern Hemisphere.... Three generations of the same family descendants of the bridge's original toll master lived in the Indooroopilly pylon for more than 70 years. The price of the toll never changed, costing roughly about 5 cents to cross until it was eventually removed in 1965.

16.01.2022 Any store that describes themselves as a box of chocolate has me hook, line and sinker Encore La Chance is a hidden gem of Brisbane and we love this profile of Sandra by Peeps of Paddington #supportlocal #brisbanegreeters

15.01.2022 We have some important service updates regarding our bus operations due to coronavirus: All bus passengers will be required to board Council buses from the r...ear passenger door (and centre door on articulated buses) from Wednesday 25 March 2020. The front left-hand passenger seat (opposite the driver) on all our buses will be taped off until further notice to support social distancing between passengers and drivers. Only pre-paid fares using go cards will be accepted on both buses and ferries from Wednesday 25 March until further notice. We appreciate your understanding with these changes during this time. 08.01.2022 If walls could talk, I think this place would have a few stories to tell. The hotel was built in 1889 by the Lord Mayor of the time William MacNaughton Galloway (his initials appear on the building too). It is said his ghost sometimes frequents the building (a friendly ghost of course!). Just a few minutes from the city, this is one place you dont want to miss! P.S. How spectacular does the The Breakfast Creek Hotel look at night
