23.01.2022 Another great meeting on Zoom this week.. Fantastic to have our friends Ryan, Kirri and Stella from Maheno Primary School in NZ join us. Kiwis were well represented as Kelly McCluckie invited Geoff Pownall, President of her old Rotary Club of Takapuna. Guest speaker was Amy Smith a Canadian and our Global Grant Scholar. Amy has completed her study and spoke about her current work with indigenous programs in Australia. Great that Rotary continues and we are still able to hear outstanding guest speakers.

13.01.2022 Excited to meet at the Marriott Hotel for President Margot's first meeting after lockdown. Lots of fun and laughter meeting face to face and a great start with Guest Speaker Mark Meave from local homeless support agency 3rd Space. The hands on work of Rotary didn't stop with Covid and Mark was presented with a huge collection of brand new Socks and Jocks, the result of a fantastic club effort. Members received club recognitions for outstanding work during 2019-2020 with Deb Le Gard presented with a 'Zoom Queen' award for her fantastic contribution to the Club and Lindsay Marshal nominated Rotarian of the Year for his input and 20 outstanding years in Brisbane High-Rise. Thank you to photographer Bill Leveritt.
