25.01.2022 Another music label that will be attending the #BrisbaneIndieMusicMarket is Marski Music. Marski Music was co-founded by Glenn Marshall and Trajce Cvetkovski in 1996, during Brisbane’s first golden age of trance and techno. The label pressed vinyl in Europe and distributed directly out of London with Intergroove Ltd; releasing some of Brisbane’s finest including alanrock, Bass-X, Neon Cactus, and others. Making their first appearance at BIMM, Marski will be bringing to the #BrisbaneIndieMusicMarket some of their ultra-rare pressings; giving you a chance to own a piece of Brisbane trance & techno music gold.

25.01.2022 Bris Indie label Centre Source Records will be at the #BrisbaneIndieMusicMarket selling merchandise and among their releases will be music from Penelope Two-Five. Penelope Two-Five was born in the basement of an inner city Brisbane warehouse. Part heartfelt lyricists, part percussion partisans, Cam Lee (vocals) and Shannon Mavrik (production) bring about 24-carat feeling, which ranges from audio for the afternoon through to made-for-the-club heaviness. Checkout their releases this Sunday 25 Aug at The Triffid from 12pm

Centre Source Records specialises in vinyl releases, and focuses on local artists, Centre Source distributes dance music in myriad iterations and interpretations. Past releases have spanned from baeleric disco to acid, house, and experimental, with the focus being on exploring hypnotic, exotic sounds, rather than specific genres. Ultimately, Centre Source aims to give space in Australia’s formiddable dance music scene for new artists and ideas. wwwcentresourcerecords.com.au

13.01.2022 This Sunday is the #BrisbaneIndieMusicMarket at The Triffid and among the labels that will be present selling cool merch will be Conquest of Noise. Conquest Of Noise started in a small front room in Kelvin Grove in July 2012 as an outlet for small indie labels from overseas. Since then it has evolved into a long standing consistent label. From the debut label release from Canadian slackers The Courtneys to Bris...bane rock legends HITS we've looked long & far for bands of a diverse nature. Other bands released include Sweden's Rattens Krater, Italy's Giuda, MEAT CAKE (Syd), Leadfinger, Grindhouse, FUR, Brisbane noise duo The Scrapes, Dreamtime & more. 12.01.2022 Really proud to be holding the second #BrisbaneIndieMusicMarket at The Triffid. Dennis and Anna, the co-founders, look forward to seeing friends and visitors. #Brisbane #whatson #fairtrademusic

12.01.2022 Setup went smoothly at The Triffid for #BrisbaneIndieMusicMarket thanks to Sabella Segal, a member of our team who is also official photographer for today.

11.01.2022 Another Coolin' By Sound band whose music will be available for sale at the #BrisbaneIndieMusicMarket is THIGH MASTER. Thigh Master’s debut Early Times (2016) is rife with an incessantly catchy brand of angsty, sun-dappled guitar pop, constructed in the share-houses of inner-city Brisbane. These days they can be found in their adopted home of Melbourne, but they're on the verge of an exciting announcement which is going to find them taking their alluringly distinctive sound to the world!

08.01.2022 Another label that will be at BIMM to sell their merchandise is ‘Essential Minerals' (or EM Tapes) they are a Brisbane-based tape label founded in 2015 and focused on releasing experimental recordings from local underground DIY artists on both recycled & new cassettes. At the Brisbane Indie Music Market, Essential Minerals will have a selection of discounted old, new & unreleased cassettes. https://www.emtapes.com

05.01.2022 Today we focus on artists who will have music for sale at BIMM. The Holy Rollercoasters (their EP is officially out today!) are inspired by the masters of rhythm and blues, the ecstasy and tragedy of love and the beauty and gothicism of the bible. The Holy Rollercoasters are soul, blues and jazz-worshipping Brisbanites. Love and death, that’s what all songs are about. The octet know this all too well and explore these themes throughout their debut EP in various styles whilst always bringing it back to their heavy soul backbone and a DIY recording ethos that takes inspiration from the gospel of Daptone.
