24.01.2022 President Debbie presented the Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Award at the Craigslea SHS Year 12 Awards Night on Wednesday. A number of the students and teachers who spoke mentioned Youth of the Year as an important part of the students’ experience. We’ll be back in November to present our encouragement bursaries to a Year 10 and a Year 11 student.

This lighting display will help celebrate Lions Clubs International 103rd anniversary. 08.01.2022 A sad day with happy memories as we farewelled our Past President and Charter Member Chris Murphy today. Chris loved life, had great energy and a smile and kind word for everyone. He laughed easily and often, and we will miss him. Rest in Peace, Chris, and thanks for your work for the Club, your friendship and the memories.

05.01.2022 Help needed at Lions Camp Duckadang before their opening Friday 10 July Twenty+ people have worked tirelessly over this weekend 19-21 June. Unfortunately there ...are many maintenance tasks to be finished. Chair Graham asks for Lions assistance on Sat 4 - Sun 5 July to ready facilities for guests. Tasks include (short list) cleaning accommodation, fitting curtains & replacement toilet seats, weeding, mowing, removing cobwebs / wasp nests on walls, applying pesticide. Basically we need people to scrub - clean - sanitize & sparkle. Saturday night is sharing a prepared meal by Camp Manager Belinda and her volunteers for dinner and fellowship. 04.01.2022 International Diabetes awareness day today (14 Nov) * District Q 3 Zone 8 clubs got together today for Lions Lap the Map and diabetes awareness. Aspley + Leos, Bracken Ridge Central, Brisbane Inner North and Nundah members met this morning. Around 30 walkers started at the eastern end (Newman Rd) of Seventh Brigade Park. Walkers easily covered the 5 kilometres. BCC's COVID requirements limited this event to 40 walkers. This walk was organised by Zonie (8) Meg Philp....
