22.01.2022 Happy new year everyone. Our open randori sessions for advanced fighters only starts on Tue the 5th & Thurs 7th at 7pm and Sat the 9th at 10am. Please remember we do not teach new techniques on these nights. It is general warm ups, specific skill drills. Then ne waza & tachi waza randori. ALSO There is a new Gov electronic attendance requirement. This means nobody gets on the mat before I tick you off on the computer and mat fees have been paid. So bring your phone.

22.01.2022 As a coach you are blessed when you hold seminars to help ahtletes and coaches that include experts like 2008 olympian Kristie-anne Ryder, Dave Allan with a masters degree in S and C, Plus seasoned experts like national champions Olena Unsenko, Sam King, Clinton Venn,, Harry Cauley etc. People with the same basic morals and standards i have. I love these people. I have had requests from other fighters to teach on my seminars but I have declined. They dont have high enough morals and standards. i am very hard on this. We have very young kids who have high ambitions who need help. For fighters with real ambitions, they have to be invited to train with our group. They need to convince me they are for real.

22.01.2022 Everyone was very happy with the new floor last night. We did twice as much nage komi and transitions than usual because of this. Glen Cauley from Malaney, paid us a nice visit. Thats a 2 hour drive north of Brisbane. Thanks mate. Others come from the Sunshine coast and Gold Coast Because of this, our new start time is 7pm and finish at 8.30pm. Sat is now 10am to 11.30am.

19.01.2022 There are 3 places left in our training camp and master classes. And 4 places in the coaches round table. The coaches are invited to attend the final masterclass which will be on gripping. And should you wish to stay longer for the open randori you are welcome.

18.01.2022 We have our training camp and 4 master classes on Dec 12/13. This is open for fighters age 12+ and minimum grade of 3rd kyu. There are only 24 places available. There are 2 open randori sessions. One each day. And our guest coach is 2008 Olympian Kristie-Anne Ryder. It will be a great weekend for learning and practice.

18.01.2022 A fantastic end to the year for Elena Usenko. She received her Australian citizenship a few days ago. When her certificate arrives then its the passport. Fingers crossed some more of the goals and dreams from this year can be realised in 2021.

14.01.2022 We had a very successful master class last Saturday. A big thank you to my three assistant coaches. Olena, Sam & Clinton. A very talented group of fighters attended. Some from as far as the Gold coast and the Sunshine coast. Most were judo fighters and a few from BJJ. The techniques were Kata Guruma and Juji Gatame. It was fantastic to watch how quickly they all learned the movements. Especially the current IJF allowed versions. During the break we had a talk on developing throws in 4 directions. We also discussed a little on the commitment required to be an international level fighter. In Dec 12 & 13 we will have a training camp along with another master class. Again 1 in Ne waza & 1 in Tachi waza. In January 2021 we have a training camp planed. More on these in a few days.

14.01.2022 Success for our team today taking out the 1st place in the Shogan hill team challange. Our man of the day was our cadet fighter, Kohsei who beat 2 black belts by ippon with fantastic throws. Well done everyone.

08.01.2022 Hello everyone. Brisbane is in lockdown from today until Monday evening. So we will start back on Tuesday. Have a great long weekend. Watch some of the world sambo and judo champs and the judo masters that starts on monday. Looking forward to that big time. Stay well.

07.01.2022 We had a very good day at our master class sessions and Randori today. A big day for these little fighters. Our first session was on sangaku jime and various osaikomi methods. And Tomoe nage, yoko tomoe nage and sumi gaeshi. To finish off we had 1.5 hours of tachi waza and ne waza. Well done everyone. Tomorrow is another big day.

05.01.2022 Our last session for 2020 and the last supper. Plus the final finish for the now former Ukrainian, Elena Usenko. She received her certificate of citzenship today. Its now done. No more worries. But she does need to learn the aussie lingo. Like fairdinkum, motsa and bollocks like that. Have a great xmas and new year everyone in our judo world.
