If you have been thinking about participating in the Great East Coast Run but unsure you can make the 553km or 1630km challenge, our new ‘Teams’ challenge has you covered. Simply find 1, 2 or 3 buddies and register as a team and your distances will automatically be collated into your one team account so you can collecti...vely complete the epic Great East Coast Virtual Run together. 22.01.2022 Thank you to our volunteers for all their help making the Brisbane Marathon Festival 2021 a huge success this weekend. We couldn’t have done it without you!

21.01.2022 With race weekend fast approaching, while you’re running virtually, why not set yourself up as if this were your usual race day! The night before, why not: 1. Lay out your gear so you are all ready to go, especially if you’re choosing to get up at the crack of dawn when your alarm goes off. 2. Eat a dinner that will sit well with you overnight. Hydrate sensibly. 3. Prepare your virtual race bib (optional, but fun) which you will receive on Friday... 4. Get to bed early and visualise your best run! On race morning: 1. Eat and drink something - even if it’s small - and give it some time to digest. 2. Apply sunscreen. 3. Double check your race route and let someone know your plans. Ensure you have a hydration strategy in place, especially if you are running a longer distance. 4. Wear your virtual race bib! 5. Run, have fun and keep an eye out for other runners who may be racing virtually with you! 6. Upload your results and share your story with the #brismara tag on social media.
