23.01.2022 Sport can help open a door to a new life in #Australia. For example - if you are a keen #rugby player, Jobs4Rugby can help you find a job local to an Australian rugby club so that you can work and play. The job offer below would be a fantastic way to secure a visa for a 4 year term or even a permanent residency visa.

22.01.2022 Seeking advice through social media is particularly dangerous. Always get a second opinion, preferably from a lawyer.

19.01.2022 Earlier this month the Australian government announced a change to the skilled occupations list (a list of nominated occupations that the Australian government ...wants to attract to Australia) to include footballer on the the medium to long-term list rather than the short-term list, upon which it has existed since March 2018. This means that previously, foreign players could only be granted a two-year visa, with one opportunity for renewal for a further two years. 293 more words [ 287 more words ] https://www.rochelegal.com.au//new-pathway-to-permanent-r/ See more

17.01.2022 Due to unprecedented demand the BSMQ skilled program is Temporarily CLOSED. Expressions of interest (EOIs) submitted for SkillSelect after 5:00pm AEST 30 July... 2019 will not be considered at this time. EOIs submitted from 29-30 July 2019 (5:00pm AEST) will be accepted and considered over the coming months. Due to this demand, it is unlikely that the subclass 489 program will reopen (for skilled applicants) due to the closure for nominations on 10 September 2019 (to be replaced by the new subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa). The subclass 190 program will reopen in due course, and BSMQ will publish the re-opening date via http://fal.cn/33aN6 and on social media channels. The BSMQ Business program remains OPEN.

15.01.2022 10 September 2019 was the last date BSMQ was able to nominate for the 489 visa. All 489 applications in the system have now been closed. If you did not receive ...a nomination on or before 10 September you will need to submit a NEW EOI for the 491 visa after 16 November 2019 when this visa commences. The skilled program remains closed until this date. BSMQ will start processing EOIs for 190 visa applications which were submitted from 29 July 30 July 5pm AEST from 11 September 2019. Please do not amend your 190 EOI until you receive an invitation as doing so will take you out of the queue. Sometimes our invitations go to junk mail, so please ensure you are regularly checking your junk mail for any correspondence from us. Please do not email or call us in regards to your application as this significantly slows down processing times. The business migration program remains OPEN. READ MORE HERE: https://fal.cn/33SWZ

09.01.2022 CITIZENSHIP GENERAL RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT If you have your permanent residency you may be seeking to soon apply for citizenship. Recent enquiries from clients have prompted us to take the opportunity to explain the general residency requirements which most need to meet in order to apply for naturalisation. Firstly, you dont need to be a permanent resident for four years prior to applying. The government was attempting to introduce this requirement but it did not pass the S...enate. So currently you need to be lawfully resident in Australia for four years prior to applying and for the 12 months immediately before application, you need to be a permanent resident. Once you have met the above you need to analyse your absences. Under the General Rule there are two requirements; (a) In the four years immediately before applying you cannot be absent from Australia for more than a total of 12 months; and (b) In the 12 months immediately before applying you cannot be absent for more than 90 days. More information of the requirement can be found on the Department of Home Affairs website. Whilst there are some limited exceptions to this rule under the Special Residency Requirements, the vast majority of applicants need to meet the General Requirement.
