07.01.2022 This photo shows Hondas "unicam" valve train. It features a three lobe camshaft. The two outer lobes open the inlet valves by pressing directly on inverted buckets, while the centre lobe opens the two exhaust valves via a forked rocker arm. Valve clearances are adjusted by various thickness shims on top of the valve stems. This system was introduced by Honda on its CRF dirt bike range but is now used on numerous models.
