25.01.2022 In case you're wondering what we've been doing in lockdown, and because we missed out on doing our kids concert in June, and because we all love dressing up, please enjoy the Brisbane Municipal Concert Band playing 'Smarty Pants and Bubblegum' composed by David Jones. Thanks to Rein Kleidon and David Jones for a huge amount of work in putting this together.

20.01.2022 A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of performing for a very special gentleman, Mack Finch who had been a part of our mother band, the Brisbane Municipal Concert Band for about 50 years! Such a commitment thats rarely seen. Good on you Mack, what a legend. We played some Glenn Miller and other tunes from the fabulous swing era. Dont forget our elders folks. It was a good day, not just for Mack and the other residents, but for all of us as well @ Bolton Clarke Fairview, Pinjarra Hills

04.01.2022 Apart from the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1919, 2020 is the first year in the 117 year history of the band that we haven't played to commemorate the fallen. The band played for troops returning from the Boer War and subsequent world wars and has an unbroken record ... of Anzac ceremonies with the Sherwood RSL for over 85 years. We dedicate the band's version of Abide with Me to the Sherwood Indooroopilly RSL Sub-branch and all who served. Lest We Forget. Special thanks to David Jones and Rein Kleidon for many hours of work to put this together.
