21.01.2022 Today is International Day of People with Disability, which is held on 3rd December every year. The theme for 2018 is empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality. Today a group of CB Clients enjoyed their morning tea at the Newman Rd Administration Office. The administration staff are looking forward to more visits from our CB Clients this week.

20.01.2022 Happy National Carers Week! National Carers Week is dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating carers in Australia, and runs from Sunday 13 to Saturday 19 October 2019. National Carers Week is an opportunity to educate and raise awareness among all Australians about the diversity of carers and their caring roles.

19.01.2022 We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended our first Wine and Cheese Fundraiser. It was an amazing evening of wine, beer, cheeses, tasty delights, friends and fun. Although we were not able to do stargazing due to the wet weather, listening to the rhythm of the falling rain while sipping the wine and chatting with friends was absolutely enjoyable and relaxing. The cheeses were truly irresistible and the food was delicious. Congratulations to the winners of the raffle prizes! A big thank you to all who purchased the raffle tickets and made donations! We would also like to extend a warm welcome to our new members who supported our Membership Drive and joined Qualtime on the night. Your support is greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing everyone at our Christmas Party on 17th November 2018.

14.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone! Are you planning any getaways? It has been a while since our first 2019 short-term getaway group returned from their four-day camp. So many unforgettable memories to cherish and everyone is looking forward to more trips and adventures! We thank all the parents/carers who gave us all the heartwarming positive feedback and the beautiful card. We were informed by two parents that their son came home 'in a very light-hearted manner' and had spoken very highly of the support staff. Another two parents thanked us for the 'marvelous booklet'. We feel so happy for the Clients for having the opportunities to satisfy their travel itch by taking advantage of the NDIS Another group of happy travellers will hit the road very soon. 12.01.2022 Hungry?How about some sushi? Nikki and her peers were making sushi for the Master Chef Competition at the Qualtime Centre. Nikki's goal is to build her capacity to be independent and to lead a healthy lifestyle. They cooked the rice using the rice cooker with the supervision of staff. The filling was also prepared. Then the rice was placed in a large bowl to cool down. Sugar, rice vinegar and other ingredients were stirred in. The tricky part was the rolling of the nori sheet with the filling. Qualtime provides support for Clients in a group environment or individually to pursue their recreational life goals, through activities of their choice. We have a purpose-built facility that provides group and individual programs within the Centre and the community.

We run special Christmas events every year to provide opportunities for Clients to participate in the community. Next Wednesday we will be heading to the Enchanted Garden ( Roma St Parklands). 09.01.2022 Nice shot Elwin Last Saturday Clients thoroughly enjoyed the Sea World Trip as one of our Saturday Adults Special Events. We started to plan for this trip from early October after we received feedback in the program survey that Clients wished to go on the special trip. After we sent out the EOI, we were inundated with bookings. ... When the fully loaded Qualtime buses headed to the destination on Saturday, everyone was so excited to have the opportunity to experience life under the sea for a day - Watching the dolphins, visiting the penguins, marveling at sharks and learning all about the world's ocean animals. 04.01.2022 How did you spend your Christmas Eve? How are you spending today?Yesterday the Qualtime Centre was transformed with decorated tables, loads of gifts under the Christmas tree, and the presence of our valued Clients. We got together and shared a traditional Christmas Eve dinner accompanied by the Christmas carol, plus a 50th birthday celebration. Everyone had a great time enjoying a Christmas Eve feast, unwrapping gifts and socialising with each other. Santa made an appearance giving out presents before setting off on his sleigh to carry on his journey. There was so much laughter and fun. Isn't it great to make someone's day a little bit brighter and discover the joy of giving? We could not have done what we did yesterday without the support of volunteers. Thank you to all the volunteers that made this possible.

04.01.2022 2018 was the biggest roll out ever for our Christmas Party. What a success!. A wonderful evening was had by all. Lots of smiles, laughter, music,singing, winners and good company. Invented and developed in Australia, the liberty swing allows wheelchairs to be easily rolled into and securely attached to the unit - thus allowing individuals in wheelchair to experience the joy and exhilaration of swinging in the air.
