17.01.2022 I Was notified of a baby Fig Bird that was found just sitting in the corner of a yard at Murrumba Downs this afternoon. Mentioned to the lady to keep an eye out and see if mum comes down to feed it or is sighted. If no sign when it get dark to call. Unfortunately no sign of mum. Baby seemed to have fallen out of the tree with the heat we had today. He is now safe and sound with me had a little drink and feed of blueberries and will be off to my friend Tomorrow morning who carers for birds and other wildlife.

16.01.2022 PLEASE SHARE AROUND. As temperatures begin to rise over the 30 degrees snakes will begin to find a cooler spot out of the sun and heat in the hottest part of the day. Now is the time to be making sure doors are shut behind you. If you have screen doors make sure there are no holes in the fly screen. This goes for Windows with security screens also. Check for gaps under doors leading outside, if there are gaps it's best to fit a weather seal to the bottom of the door as thi...s will seal any gaps and so any unwanted visitors entering your house. Seal up any holes where any Air conditioning pipes Go through the wall from outside. In the next coming months we will start to see new born snakes beginning to get around. No is the time to fix any of the issues above to stop any little snake finding it's self entering your house. Below is a juvenile SEQ Tiger Snake (Notechis scutatus) Capable of a fatal bite if handled or harassed, which I found on the road up the Sunshine Coast.
