16.01.2022 WE ARE STILL OPEN !!! We know these are tough times for everyone right now so we are here to help as much as we can. We will be offering services and repairs at discounted rates to help keep everyone's vehicle in tip top shape, so please call or message us with any inquiries. We have taken extra steps to increase ours and our clients safety during these tough times... - We now offer a pick up and drop of service for local clients who do not feel comfortable leaving the house. - We will be wearing gloves and wiping down steering wheels, gear sticks, handbrakes and doors with disinfectant wipes. - We also have seat covers and floor mats. - We have contactless payment systems and we will fill out all job cards. - We also ask that when your vehicle is with us that you please turn the A/C or heater off before you get out of the car and that there are no open food or drink containers in the vehicle. In the next few days we will be sharing some tips on looking after your vehicle if it will be sitting for some time without being driven. Stay safe

03.01.2022 CAR CARE During the next few weeks/months you might find that your vehicle is not being used as much or at all so below are a few tips to try to help keep it in the best condition. - BATTERY ... Unfortunately this is the most common part to fail if your vehicle is sitting around however there are a few ways to stop the battery discharging. * Take your vehicle for small drives, this will give the battery time to re-charge and also keep the rest of the vehicle in top shape. * If driving isn't an option then you can install a trickle charger to the battery and this will keep it in good condition for whenever your vehicle is required and is very easy to disconnect and then reconnect. - If you have an older vehicle you can disconnect the battery or have a battery terminal with a on/off switch installed. TYRES Tyres will slowly develop flat spots and can in some cases deflate. Before your vehicle is stored go the the service station (or drop into the shop) and inflate them to the correct pressure. Rough tyre pressure guide below : SMALL CARS = 32PSI TO 34PSI MEDIUM SIZED = 34PSI TO 36PSI LARGE/4WD = 36PSI TO 40PSI (This is rough guide and not applicable to all vehicles) Again if you are able to take your vehicle for a small drive then this will help keep your tyres in good condition. FUEL If you know your vehicle will sit for some time it is advised to have a full fuel tank as this will stop any rust or corrosion from forming inside the tank and can cause issues later on. The above is just a guide to try to help in these tough times as we are all in this together.
