12.01.2022 Medicago Sativa, aka Lucerne or alfalfa is one of our key angiosperm (flowering plant) allies. These amazing plants from the Fabaceae family (bean, peas and acacias) fix the most nitrogen of all legumes. They develop a symbiotic relationship with Rhizobia bacteria which live in a component of the plants roots called "nodules" they appear as white ball like structures connected to the roots of Fabaceae plants. These bacteria take atmospheric nitrogen and turn it into a form av...ailable to plants from the soil. Essentially these Fabaceae family species produce their own fertilizer from AIR. For those unaware of ag science, nitrogen is the primary nutrient required for plant growth, phosphorus and potassium are also very important but lesser amounts are usually needed to grow conventional crops than the nitrogen requirements, so this is really a significant thing. This isn't some hippie stuff, a big % of cropping and dairy farmers use this crop to fix atmospheric nitrogen to the soil and provide high protein animal feed. In industry, the cropping of Medicargo Sativa allows them to save about $100,000,000 worldwide a year on nitrogen fertiliser bills. Synthetic nitrogen is highly volatile, trucks are known to explode. In the future plant scientists and biotechnologists will be working to refine metagarco sativa into an even more valuable crop that will benefit the world. 03.01.2022 Hello BRP fans! Sorry I haven't been taking orders for awhile, I have a new and very busy job as a sales manager for a large company and there has been some other changes in the background which has prevented me from trading through BRP. I am pleased to announce that I will soon be back in business for hay and mulch and I will be able to provide a limited supply of composted horse manure.... The volume of compost is reduced so I will be making a post when I have it available. It certainly wont be back at the 6-10 cubes a week I used to sell so when I announce some bags are available, it's a first in first served basis. At this stage there will be less than 40 bags a week available, so for people needing cubic meters, you are probably best going elsewhere. It also goes without saying that I cannot process back orders for compost but will be able to for hay and mulch subject to availability.
