05.01.2022 My illustration for the Australian bushfires. I can't seem to find any more words that haven't already been said, there's only sorrow and tragedy. I pray for Au...stralia, the people, and wildlife... #saveaustralia **NEW EDIT**9/1/20 I feel the need to express once again my humble thanks to all who have liked, commented, shared this post and donated to the organisations (see first edit notes and links). It really means the world to me as an artist that, going by the comments, I have been able to convey what I was feeling via my illustration. As long as there are people who can feel and be moved by a drawing I feel there is hope and humanity left in us yet! I have been asked whether prints of this illustration are available.... I am looking into making this a possibility with the aim of 100% of the profits going towards the bushfire appeals. I am also adding two more links here to organisations in order to help spread the message of their appeal for aid in the way of donations. Their work to provide the best care possible for the injured wildlife, is ongoing in this crisis. They're tireless and even heroic in their efforts to help, so if you can please donate or spread the word through sharing that would be wonderful and most appreciated. Thank you, Melina x Links below: https://www.akr.org.au/ https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-save-kangaroo-islands-koala *FIRST EDIT* Wow I'm so incredibly humbled by the overwhelming response to my illustration. As much as I really would like to, it is difficult to reply to everyone individually, so I'm taking this opportunity to say a big, big thank you, for the likes, shares but especially for the heartfelt and moving comments. As there has been a little bit of momentum building with my post I thought I would try to help if I can in my little way by providing links to some worthy organisations/volunteer services providing aid and relief to the fire affected communities. Any donation big or small can go a long way to help! <3 PS There have been a few commenters asking whether they could share or use my illustration as their profile pic. I'm honored and give my full approval. It would be wonderful if at the same time a donation could be made and/or the links below be shared in order to reach as many people as possible. PPS It's been pointed out to me that the date on my illustration is wrong, I wrote 2019...apologies as 3 days into the New Year I was still not used to it being 2020! 04.01.2022 Wishing blessings and the peace of God for everyone reading this post, and may God reveal more of his goodness to you in 2020 as you seek Him with your heart.
