11.01.2022 We are recruiting participants for the Bicycle Riding with Children Survey (links below). This research is being done to learn more about what influences people... in making a choice whether or not to bike ride with their child(ren) either with the child(ren) in a carrier attached to the adult bike (e.g. bicycle seat, trailer, or tagalong) or accompanying children who are riding their own bike. We are also interested in factors that affect the experience of riding with children, with a particular focus on safety. The reason we want to know more about these issues is to develop strategies that can support people in riding safely with children, because this can help children to develop healthy habits. Taking part in this research study is optional. We are looking for people who want to take part in this research and who are at least 18 years old, and are the parent/carer of a child who is between 0 and 11 years old, and ride a bicycle at least once every 6 months. If you decide to take part in the research you will asked to complete an online survey that will take around 10 to 15 minutes. By clicking on the relevant link below, you will be taken to the opening page of a survey, which provides more information about the research. If, after reading the information carefully, you decide to take part in the research, you may click a button to continue to the survey questions. Taking part in this research study is voluntary. You may choose not to take part. If you decide not to take part in this research, your decision will not affect your relationship with The University of New South Wales. This research has been reviewed and approved by The University of New South Wales Human Research Ethics Committee. If you have any complaints or concerns about the research study please email [email protected] or phone +61 2 9385 6222 quoting the following number HC17832.
