25.01.2022 The Blades come away from home with three more important points at Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace dominated the first half in horrendous windy weather, though SU dug in to go into half time at 0-0. After half time The Blades pick up a level causing Palace problems, especially for them to concede an early Corner, with the palace GK Guaita droping the ball over his goal line gifting SU a goal 1-0, after the goal the Blades continued to grow in confidence pressure for a 2nd, wit...h a few chances opening up, palace did try to come back towards the end of the match, but the Blades looked comfortable in defence.. New Club record signing Sander Berge 21 year old a Norwegian International midfielder from Genk had a reasonably good Debut to the club coming away with a first win. Pleased to see the club is prepared to spend, to strengthen the squad, towards the back end of the season. The Blades have now moved to an amazing 5th Place in the EPL jumping ahead of both Manchester United and Wolves who drew 0-0 this weekend and Tottenham who play Manchester City tonight. Next week the Blades host Bournemouth who have shown some fight to move themselves out of the relegation battle, every week another interesting game. Go the Blades See more

25.01.2022 Relegation prediction believe Norwich, Aston Villa and Bournemouth will be the teams to be relegated. Though Bournemouth and Aston Villa have matches they can win. As both Watford and West Ham at just hovering above them. Brighton Hove Albion will stay up, which is positive for Australian Football and the national team as both Matt Ryan and Arron Mooy will remain in the EPL. Norwich and Aston Villa were the two teams to be promoted with Sheffield United, at the beginning of the season Aston Villa was the team expected to stay up, due to the huge amount spent on improving their squad. Sheffield United (51 Points) have more points that both Aston Villa (27) and Norwich (21) together, shows the huge achievement for the Club.

24.01.2022 A brilliant response at home against Tottenham, to move into A more respectable 7th place. Especially after some poor, start up after their break. All the goals were though good team Combination play, Sander Berge finally scored his for the club, including an improved performance. With both forwards Lys Mousset and Oli McBurnie also scoring. Always good when your forwards are scoring for their confidence. The club needed this result, against a big club, as next fixture away to Burnely is always a difficult encounter at Turf Moor who are a difficult team to play when they are at home. The Blades have a short turn around as playing Burnely this Sunday, with only a few days recovery. Mental toughness and goals will be required on the day

23.01.2022 The Blades finally earn a point at home, to take them off the bottom. Dominated the first half and should have been up one or two goals, to let Fulham back in the match in the second half. The Blades were very lucky Aleksandar Mitrovic missed a penalty in the 57 minute, then for Ademola Lookman to score for Fulham in the 77min. The Blades responded by applying more pressure to be awarded a Penalty, for Billy Sharp to score with the GK going the wrong way. The Blades have a really tough 3 weeks ahead of them away to Liverpool on the Sun 25th October, Home v Manchester City on Saturday 31 October and away on Sunday 8th November away to Chelsea, if the club can get a result from one of these clubs, will be a great result to get 3 points for the club to move on higher up the table.

23.01.2022 BYFA Elite Skills training scheduled for today Saturday 25th is confirmed U11/U13 2.15pm to 3.45pm and U14/IU18 3.45pm to 5.15pm. See you soon

22.01.2022 The Blades come away with another 3 valuable points, to put them in 6th place. Very pleasing to see Billy Sharp back amongst the goals again and scoring another match winning goal in the same week. Though Man of the Match without a doubt, Dean Henderson pulling off 3 world class 2 point blank, saves in the dying stages of the match. Keeping his tenth clean sheet so far this season, the issue for SU, this just keeps raising his valve. As hes a Manchester United player on loan..., is Man U do not take him back, several big clubs will sign him. Already Chelsea are showing interest in signing him. Im sure with the season hes had at SU, would want to stay especially if the club makes the top 6. The main problem would be the funds to keep and sign him, as Man U would want to make as much money as possible if they decide to let him go. Next week the Blades have a difficult match , travelling away to Newcastle United. See more

22.01.2022 Europa League dream over for The Blades, with their 0-1 to Everton, was their last chance to make the top 7. The Blades have put in a fanatic effort over the season 19/20 just seem to have run out of legs playing every 4 to 5 days since the restart of the season. Their high pressure and high intensity play seems to have caught up with them, to be fair the team could have come away with something from the match. The players could do with a good rest before their final perform...ance away to Southampton to finish on a high. For the Sheffield United fans, this has been some season, as the Club has done extremely well to compete with the best in the EPL and to have ended up in the top 10, just after Promotion. On a really small budget, with majority of the players coming from the lower divisions, is some Achievement. Pleased to see another Yorkshire Club, in Leeds United after a 16 year absence, a sleeping Giant, winning the Championship and getting promoted into the EPL for 20/21. Will be a great atmosphere when The Blades and The Peacocks meet in the 20/21 Season.

22.01.2022 The Blades were robbed, another really bad decision against the club. Its the biggest var decision in the Premier League by hawk eye, whove apologised to Sheffield United and the EPL. This decision could affect the Clubs chances of top 6 and the relegation battle. Sheffield United should have been award the goal and 3 points, as would have moved to 5 place. The Blades are away to Newcastle next, they will need to step up, to have any chance of winning.

22.01.2022 The Blades haven't had the best start to the EPL losing 0-2 to Wolves at Home and then 0-1 v Aston Villa having a player sent off after 12 mins doesn't help, though have to give the team credit showing their fighting spirit, to only concede off a set piece a corner. The Blades missed a Penalty, would have given them a point away from home. For the team to be more competitive they need to sign another forward ASAP. The Blades host Leeds United at home, a huge derby match, will need to come away with a much needed result.

22.01.2022 The Blades lose away Newcastle were 0-0 50minutes into the match when John Egan was sent off for a 2nd yellow card, which seemed to open up the normally solid defence, losing 0-3. Next match the 3rd away match in a row against Manchester United, the players will have to best at their best to come away with some result, if they want to stay in contention of the top 6. Believe the SU midfield need to step up, with more positive forward passing into the forwards, which has been the success of the team, including a solid defence. Dean Henderson is not allowed to play in goals, as he's a loan player from Manchester United, which is a shame. Looking forward to this match, in the Theatre of Dreams.

21.01.2022 The Blades were brilliant against Manchester City who were at full strength, even though and expected had more possession. SU competed in every aspect and not just sitting back, attacking in numbers and were alway in with a chance. Citys Jesus missed a Penalty in the first half, the Blades Had chances themselves, Ollie McBurnie should have scored. The big difference was when Sergio Aguero came on for Jesus to score 5 mins later from a quality pass from De Bruyne, two world ...Class players. Even though the Blades lost they are still in a credible 8th place. With both Liverpool and Manchester City out of the way, the blades can now focus on getting the magical 40 points 2 wins and a draw. Guaranteeing them another year in the EPL. Though believe they will pick up quite a few more. Starting with a positive result away to Crystal Palace 2nd February. See more

21.01.2022 The Blades make the FA Cup quarter finals in extra time. Reading were resilient with the match going into extra time. Good to see David McGoldrick final score hopefully we see more. Great to see Billy Sharp come off the bench to impact the match and score the winning goal In extra time.

21.01.2022 The Blades responded well at Home vs West Ham UTD deservedly winning 1-0 and should have been 3-0, 2 mins into extra time by VAR for a handball. at least this time VAR when well for the Blades. Ollie McBurnie again scoring the winner, this came off West Ham trying to play out the back when all their players were in position high up the park, a horrendous pass from Substitute GK David Martin towards Balbuena, John Fleck reads this pass well to win the ball easily to pass onto... McBurnie to finish. (The pass was like watching young players developing, learning how to play out the back) Martin will have nightmares for sometime. The Blades Jumping 3 places into 5th, leap frogging Manchester United, Tottenham and Wolves. Good news for the Club with, Chris Wilder Signing until 2024. With the Fans very pleased singing "Chrissy Wilder, he's one of our own." See more

19.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the rain coming through this Afternoon and Bom not looking good. We've had to cancel today's Training session, looking forward to seeing you all next week. Gordon

18.01.2022 As expected a tough encounter at Turf Moor, Burnley FC are very similar to The Blades both hard working teams to survive in the EPL. The Blades had several chances to go up early in the game, for Burnley score through James Tarkowski, just before half time to go 1-0 up. Burnley had chances to go two up early in the 2nd half. Sheffield United =managed to Score on 80 mins off a billy Sharp Flick on to John Egan to score his first goal of the season smashing the ball into the net. For the effort and chances of both teams, a draw was a fair result. Thursday's another huge match at home vs Wolves who are in the top six, 4 points ahead of The Blades, if SU have desires of closing the gap it's a must win Match. Apologise for the delay, Computer issues.

17.01.2022 To our BYFA Players, Parents, Coaches and Football Friends, wish you all a Fantastic 2020

15.01.2022 The Blades losing to Arsenal in the FA Cup, could be a positive to focus on the EPL. Even though they lost 1-2 this was their best performance since returning from their longer than usual break. The team was more positive and could have won the match, have to add The Blades were slightly the better team in the 2nd half. SU were the first to score to be judged off side which was the correct decision, then Arsenal were awarded a very soft penalty to go 0-1 up, with an improved performance especially in the second half to level the match 1-1 on 87mins with McGoldrick getting on the score sheet. For Arsenal to score the winner in extra time. This Friday the Blades host Tottenham at home needing to step up another gear to achieve a positive result.

15.01.2022 This week confirming we will be running training sessions on Friday 30th October 4.00pm-5.30pm and Saturday 31st Oct 4.00-5.30pm, for the U14 to U18s. The U11 to U13 Saturday 2.30pm-4.00pm.

14.01.2022 The Blades v Leicester City a game to forget, the Blades just did not turn up, Leicester were the better team on the day and had control of the Match. Maybe the team were physically tired after the effort of the past 4 games picking up 10 points from 3 wins and a draw. Including the win against Chelsea 3-0. Leicester had 15 shots with 7 on target and Sheffield United 5 with 1 on target sums up the Match. There is still an outside chance for The Blades to make the top 6 with... two matches to go the next Match at home this Tuesday v Everton and the following week v Southampton. As Wolves who are 6th are only two point ahead. The top 5 are now confirmed Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Leicester City and Manchester United. Wolves have an outside chance of catching Manchester United, though do not see that Happening, Man UTD are now 18 matches without loss and looking the form team. Statistics The Blades defence has been they key to their success and great season, with the 2nd Best Defence in the EPL behind Liverpool and the same goals against equal with Manchester City and United. If the Club comes into some money they need to invest in two quality Attackers, who will fit into Wilders work ethics. They also need to also invest in Signing Dean Henderson, who is on loan from Manchester United, believe he'll be the number 1 for England soon.

14.01.2022 The Blades are back where they were before Covid19, today was a brilliant win 15secs left into extra time, John Egan the hero again scoring, his second in a row, securing three valuable points to move into 7th Place. Both Both teams were very competitive making it a very even contest, though not much action in the goal mouth. Wolves came close in the first half from a free kick, with Neves striking the crossbar. The 2nd half Billy Sharp with the aid of a deflection had the ba...ll in the net to be over turned by Var. Both teams would have been happy to have come away with a draw and no complaints, the Goal in the death of the match had Wilder running to the KOP end to celebrate, knowing how valuable these 3 points were to the club. Seven Points from 3 matches, with improved performances from a team that will Compete for the 90 mins and into extra time, will need to step up again as the next home match this Sunday another huge one v Chelsea. 14.01.2022 BYFA will be adjusting our training day this week as players are committed to playing on Sunday. Training will be this Saturday 24th October starting 4.00pm to 5.30pm, keep working hard and continue to improve.

14.01.2022 BYFA is pleased to announce that we will be starting our: Elite Individual 10 week Coaching Program. Starting on Sunday 26th September at Redcliffe PCYC, 170 Klingner Road, Kippa-Ring QLD 4021. Players are welcome to register for our Private Academy training. 14.01.2022 With the Blades Match cancelled v Aston Villa due to their Commitments in the Carabao Cup v Manchester City tonight Some upset with Liverpool finally losing to Watford 0-3 who are a very improved team under Nigel Pearson, as I mentioned earlier think they have the squad and Manager to avoid Relegation, still football has it ways. Though have to mention Liverpool have been fantastic this Season and had to have a bad game sometime, they've waited a long to 30 years to win the... League and throughly deserve it. A draw for Chelsea is a good result for all the Clubs just below them including the Blades who a just 3 Points off them, the Blades are back in action this Wednesday away to Reading. Then Sunday at Home to Norwich Sunday 8th March, who have had a great result against Leicester City, there are no easy matches in the EPL, the Blades need the 3 Points to try and get back into the top 6.

12.01.2022 At this stage we will have to put a hold on our BYFA 12 week training program starting today Sunday 22nd March 2020. As the FFA and FQ have stopped all Football training and Games due to the Coronavirus till the 14th April, BYFA will align with these dates, so will then Start the 12 week Program on the Sunday 19th April, unless this is extended. Players who have signed up to the program will receive a weekly program for them to work too, in Isolation where possible. We wish our players and their respective families, all stay safe and healthy during these difficult times.

11.01.2022 The Blades lose away to Southampton, could have been up in the 1st half, to fatigue in the 2nd half and allow Southampton to control the match. A little disappointing to lose the last 3 matches of the season, dropping to 9th Place when they were so close to a play off position. Some investing will be required to increase the squad size, as it is one of the smallest squads in the EPL, which is part of the reason for the team dropping off, as they are required to press hard and play at a high intensity to compete. The club needs to invest in a striker who can score 20-25 goals in a season, similar to Danny Ings who's done a great job at Southampton. David McGoldrick works hard for the team but to only score 2 goals from 28 appearances is not good enough at EPL Level.

11.01.2022 Please Note we are Changing our start date to our, Elite Individual 10 week Coaching Program, which will now start the last Sunday of the School Holidays: Starting on Sunday 4th October at Redcliffe PCYC, 170 Klingner Road, Kippa-Ring QLD 4021. Players are welcome to register for our Private Academy training.... We are running two age Groups 2.30pm-03.45pm U11-U13 and 4.00pm-5.30pm U14-U18 one session per week. The program is designed to improve the player as an individual, the sessions are run completely different to your routine Club training sessions, specialising in improving specific individual techniques. 10.01.2022 Some interesting Statistic's from this weekends EPL Results. 1962/63 Aston Villa win first 3 league Matches Liverpool lose 7-2... Everton win first 4 league matches and went on to win the Title 2020/21 Aston Villa win first 3 league matches for the first time since 62/63 Liverpool lose 7-2 for the first time since 62/63 Everton win first 4 league matches (who know's the final out come for 2020/21) very interesting.

10.01.2022 This week we will be training this Saturday 6th September, the younger aged group starting 2.00pm and the older players at 3.30pm. Really pleased with the progress of each player who are improving significantly, which is starting to show in match performances, really pleasing to see.

07.01.2022 Last Matches for the 19/20 EPL season all played at the same time, with clubs playing for European Championship places a UEFA places including Watford and Aston Villa last matches deciding relegation, I'd predicted Aston Villa, then Watford sack Nigel Pearson two matches to go, who'd done a great job of them getting off the bottom of the table. have a feeling that Aston Villa will survive. Javi Gracia who was the first manager at Watford to be sacked this season, is signing a two year contract with a Spanish Giant, Valencia CF hoping he does well, at Valencia. The Blades are away to Southampton a win will be the best way for the club to finish the season.

04.01.2022 Delayed Blades update, so busy. The Blade were very lucky to come away with a point against Arsenal. Wilder was happy with the result in his interview, mentioned that they only played for 20 minutes, the first 10 and the last 10 to draw the match, the main thing the team show personalty and Character to stay in the game with their defensive structures to score late in the match, to come away feeling good about a point. The amazing feat, the Blades have the 2nd best defence ...in the EPL to Liverpool. Plus have positive goal different, there are only 8 clubs with a Positive goal difference, in the EPL. Tomorrow a huge match v Manchester City, would be brilliant to have a home win, the Blades will need to put in a 90 min performance to have a chance as City are back to a full strength Squad. Go the Blades

04.01.2022 The Blades gained another valuable point drawing 1-1 with Brighton Hove-Albion. Brighton were really happy to come away with a Point trying to avoid relegation. As they sat back, defending deep against the Blades and looking to go on the counter Attack. The Blades struggled to open them up and needed more quality in the final 3rd. Wilder would have been disappointed they didn't come away with the 3 points, but happy that the Club have achieved the 40 points, required to stay... up. The club just needs to continue focusing on the next game and continue finishing as high as possible, in their first season back in the EPL. Lots of talk about a chance making the European Champions League and or the Europa Cup, believe the Club needs to focus on the League. When I started the write ups on the Blades 2020 EPL season, kept mentioning the 40 Points, with the points now achieved and in the bag, the squad needs to focus on one game at a time to finish as high as possible. At this stage the club have well and truly over achieved, against all odds, a great achievement. Every point they gain till the end of the season will help towards the club earning more funds for the 2020/ 21 Season. This Sunday away to Aston Villa will be interesting, another difficult game to play as Villa will be fighting to avoid Relegation. See more

04.01.2022 The Blade were totally dominated and out played against Liverpool who set up a club record of 874 completed passed in a game, with the Blades just over 300. Credit to the Blades Players, as they were on the back foot for most of the match, showing huge concentration and discipline on their defending and their never give up attitude to only go down 0-2. With Salah scoring within 4 minutes, the Blades were always going to be on the back foot. Liverpool have showed they are n...ow a world class club team, European Champions and World Club Champions, it will take a miracle for them to not to win the 2019/20 Premier League. For Sheffield United Losing 0-2 to Manchester City and 0-2 to Liverpool the past 2 matches, still 8th in the EPL with the 3rd best defence only needing another 11 point to confirm that they will be in the EPL for 2020/21 and continue to build. Will be the main focus, then see where they finish, so far an excellent season hoping it continues. Wilder who would be on a very tight budget needs to bring in players for this back end of the season, is taking a huge risk by signing an ex Manchester City Player Jack Rodwell till the end of the season, who lost huge form once signing for Sunderland and was disliked by their Supporters, there is only one way for Rodwell is to show his class and regain his form under Wilder who seems to get the Best out of all of his players. See more

04.01.2022 Great to see some Football again, from the Bundesliga, with Dortmund 4-0 and Mönchengladbach 3-1 winning, to keep up the pressure on Bayern Munich for the title, keeping it really interesting in Germany. With the EPL Clubs back training in small groups, this week going into their squad sessions, it seems that the EPL is now looking to set the start date for the 19th June, though not finally confirmed yet, as talks still ongoing. When they do start believe the Blades will be ...ready, Wilder will be looking to see if the club can move into the top 6, as it will be much needed funds, if they do achieve a top 6 position. There are many clubs in the UK who are now struggling financially, who are relying on the TV rights to finish out the season. Clubs may have to pay back part of the season ticket holder payments, as the stadiums will be empty. Sheffield United is in this situation having only just being promoted into the Premier League, Chris Wilder is joining Blades chief executive Stephen Bettis and senior members of the coaching staff are taking deferrals of their pay and bonuses, that are set to last for six months. This shows the Gaffers passion for the Club and the fan. Looking forward to the restart of the EPL

04.01.2022 After have a great run in the EPL before the Covid-19 stopped the league. Sheffield United maybe wishing it never stopped, since restarting have struggled drawing one and losing two of their matches since starting back up. Another 0-3 loss two in a row in a week, is not the start up the Blades were looking for to challenge for a top 6 place. The loss to Manchester United who dominated the match, could have been more than the 0-3 with Anthony Martial scoring a hat-trick.. Wil...der has a huge challenge ahead of him, as in the 3 matches the Blades have only managed 3 shots on goal. The Blades normally solid defence has now been opened up and their counter attack poor. The Blades have some Huge matches ahead of them starting this Sunday at home to Arsenal in the FA cup, followed up with Tottenham in the League. The club and supporters will be looking for the players to dig in and show the fighting sprite once again, that made the team successful before the Covid-19 break. See more

03.01.2022 The Blades are back to their best football moving into the top 6, with an outstanding performance in defeating Chelsea 3-0 has to be one of their best achievements in this Campaign. Even though Chelsea had more possession it was not effective. Goals from David McGoldrick 18mins his first in the EPL, a bullet Header from Oli McBurnie 33mins and again McGoldrick 77 mins exposed the Chelsea Defence, the score could have been more with several missed chances. It seemed Chelsea t...hought they just had to pitch up to win the match and were taught a lesson, by a hard working, well structured team, with a brilliant Game plan. This was the heaviest defeat Chelsea have had since 2003/4 season. For David McGoldrick not to score in (26) Premier league matches, then two manage today against Chelsea, all his unselfish hard work rate for the team, paid off today. Showed why the Gaffer trusted and persevered with him. To think McGoldrick was playing in Divison one, two years ago at Ipswich Town and was released on a free transfer, had to trial at Sheffield United before Wilder signed him. Ten points from the past 4 matches and six of the from two teams in the top six (Chelsea & Wolves) in a space of three days, their next match v Leicester City Friday 17th July away another big one.

03.01.2022 With the Blades now safe from relegation, their focus is finishing as high as possible in the EPL, as the higher you finish the more funds you receive. This was also the reason for the club buying several players in January. They are also looking to invest in the Academy and Trainings Facilities, with some of these funds, which I believe will be a great investment for the Club. The Blades remain 5th if they finished in the top 6, would be brilliant, especially as most of the TV Commentators, predicted them to be the first to get relegated. Now those same commentators want Chris Wilder to receive the EPL Manager of the Year Award, along with Jurgen Klopp. Some turn around against all odds.

02.01.2022 BYFA is pleased to announce that we will be starting our: Elite Individual 12 week Coaching Program. Starting on Sunday 14th June at Redcliffe PCYC, 170 Klingner Road, Kippa-Ring QLD 4021. 02.01.2022 The Blades showed the fighting Sprite within the team, come from behind to win a well deserved result at home v Bournemouth. The Conditions were horrendous, pouring rain and very windy at Bramall Lane. A mistake from new record signing Sander Berge, with a poor pass straight to Bournemouth which ended in Callum Willson scoring. Credit to Bournemouth as they had started well. The Game slowly changed after the goal was scored with the Blades gaining some momentum later in the h...alf, pushing for an equaliser, Billy Sharp (Captain) to the rescue in extra time with a well taken poaches goal, inside the six yard box. Really pleased with his performance and he that he stayed with the club as there was a lot of talk of him leaving, in the January window due to lack of game time, but Billy is a Blade through and through and one of the Club Academy Products. Believe after this performance, he deserves another start, both he and Oli McBurnie were creating problems for the Bournemouth Defence. The second half the Blades seemed to have more energy especially with the substitutions impacting the game. With John Lundstram replacing Sander Berge, going onto score the winner assisted by another Substitute Lys Mossett an Ex Bournemouth Player. This result moves Sheffield United back into 5th Place and in a position ensuring, they will now be in the Premier League for for the 2020/21 season. The press were hounding Wilder about a Championship or UEFA place, as SU were closing the gap on Chelsea, he wouldn't budge, was only focused on the next game. Have to agree there a so many teams that are also close, around them. Wilder was not happy with this coming weekends break, as wanted to keep the momentum of his squad, as he didn't believe they needed this break. The Blades are again at Home the next Match on Sunday 23rd February v Brighton Hove Albion who a fighting Relegation, with Aussies Matt Ryan and Arron Mooy, both should be in their starting line up. "Go the Blades"

01.01.2022 Not the start to the season, wanted by The Blades, a fourth loss, losing to Arsenal 1-2, though when you're struggling for results, decisions can go against you, 3 minutes into the Match David Luiz should have been sent off for his blatantly pulling of Oliver Burke's Shirt as the last defender. The Referee didn't even want to look at the VAR, a disgrace, why have VAR. The main positive was for David McGoldrick to score his first and the club's first for this season, as last ...season he struggled to score, this will give McGoldrick confidence. Then to add exciting young new signing Rhain Brewster for his first match. The next match at Home v Fulham, a positive result is so important to the club, for them to start to climb up the ladder. Hoping the Club sign's a replacement Defender for Jack O'Connell who is out for the rest of the season, in Huddersfields Holland International Terence Kongolo, also another attacking player, as the club has been in discussions with signing another attacker before the end of today, as the club needs to create competition within the playing group.
