Some handy tips for a restful sleep: When sleeping in side-lying, place a pillow/body pillow between the knees and ankles to keep the top leg parallel to the bed. Fold a thinner pillow in half and hug this under the top arm. Have a warm bath or shower before bed to assist relaxation.... . . I have written a blogpost with the full list of suggestions on how to avoid fitful sleep in pregnancy (link is in bio). Here’s hoping you catch a lot of zzzz’s tonight . . : @ecomamausa See more

19.01.2022 Happy Wednesday friends Popping by to share a few handy tips to help you through your work day Remember the key to good health and comfort throughout your work day is to move regularly. ... Prolonged sitting or static standing is detrimental to wellbeing as your metabolism and circulation slows down. Prolonged postures will also overload tissues and create discomfort as the day progresses. Studies have shown that exercising after work does not undo the negative effects of static sitting postures throughout the day. Sit-stand desks may be helpful in addressing a change of position, but the main benefit is in movement. Take a regular walk and practice a few simple upper and lower back stretches at least every 30 minutes. Remember, if you are experiencing musculoskeletal discomfort seek treatment early. Hope this helps or at least serves as a reminder to move regularly

16.01.2022 Laughter is the best medicine Ok, maybe not THE best but it is definitely good for you because, you know, endorphins! Did you know that pain can be helped by anything that increases endorphins in our system. Endorphins are hormones that are released by the brain and nervous system making us feel positive, calm and happy. They are released when we laugh, exercise, participate in a hobby we enjoy, spend time with people who make us feel good, or simply have a cup of tea!
