25.01.2022 On behalf of the Board, I want to acknowledge everyone’s efforts over the past many months. It has been an interesting and challenging time for the Brite community and we recognise how difficult this has been. Everyone’s commitment, tenacity and hard work has and continues to be outstanding and the Board is very grateful and proud. We also wanted to provide an update on what is happening regarding the recruitment of a new CEO. Obviously we are all sad to see Nick move on. We ...are grateful for Nick’s hard work and commitment over the last four years. We accept he is headed for new challenges and we wish him well. Firstly we have appointed an interim CEO. Robert Hannaford will be taking on the role of interim CEO for the period it will take to go through the recruitment process to appoint a new permanent CEO. Robert is genuinely very impressed with what is being achieved at Brite. He can see that everyone is doing a great job and is coming on board to provide a guiding hand just for the interim. The Board was very conscious that we wanted you to be supported, but equally able to get on with your work doing what you do so well. Robert has over 15 years experience as CEO of the not-for-profit National Disability Living Solutions (NDLS) organisation. His background covers a range of experience in project management, construction and finance. Robert works closely with many manufacturers and companies, including Tunstall, Clipsal, Welcome Home Matching Service, and many others in the disability product sector. Robert was a member of the Specialist Disability Accommodation Industry Advisory Group and is exceptionally skilled in the brokerage of partnerships between NGO’s and the private and government sectors to provide tangible and measurable social/economic outcomes. He has vast experience in the disability sector including sitting on many Boards and advisory panels and is dedicated to improving outcomes for people with disability. The Board has no doubt he will work extremely hard to support the organisation in the coming months. The recruitment process for a permanent CEO will commence shortly. We are in the process of selecting a specialist NFP recruitment firm to assist in this process. This will be an open process- open to anyone who wishes to apply. The recruitment process will be a collaborative approach and will seek to involve staff and employees as we can. We will provide further details as the process progresses. And we wish you all well... Stay safe, kind regards Megan Broome Chairperson On behalf of the Board
