21.01.2022 NEW WORK What do you think of it?? Britts dad really liked this hand sculpted ceramic vase so its currently sitting proud in the theatre room. The process: to give an idea of the time and effort. This took a total of 8 hours in 1-2 hr sessions. Britt made a solid vase using a piece of PVC pipe as a mould before drawing and cutting the shapes she wanted out. Then finally painting the glaze on is the easy peasy part! The top coat of glaze was a crackle glaze so once it was fired Britt rubbed black ink into the cracks to define them more and emphasis this irregular texture. #ceramicart #perthartist #perthceramics #sculpturalvase #handmadehomewares

10.01.2022 This very delicate sphere is mums favourite ceramic piece. Strictly not for sale! Brittney used a mould to create a solid ball then added clay snakes to thicken the parts she wanted to keep before carving out the holes. Finished by painting with a combination of 3 glazes that melted together when fired. A lengthy process but the result was worth it!
