25.01.2022 Hey Everyone! With the 2016-17 financial year coming to a close we have some really great information to share. There are new laws that allow small businesses to claim an immediate deduction for assets they start to use or have installed ready for use provided each depreciable asset costs less than $20,000 run out in June 30, 2017. If you need a new (or used) vendor, or any peripherals you only have a few weeks left to take advantage of any tax breaks you may be eligible for. 25.01.2022 Been a while since we have posted, shame it took the Corona Virus (not as much fun as Corona Beer) As a "silver lining" the stimulus package may help some of us, 7 quick facts to assist in understanding what is now available from March 12th 2020 via the Economic Stimulus Package. Available to ALL businesses with an annual turnover of less than $500mil... $150,000 Instant Asset Write Off 1. Any eligible asset (vehicles, machinery etc) with a purchase price of $150,000 or less (excluding GST) acquired from March 12th to June 30th 2020 2. Asset can be NEW or USED (including Private Sales) 3. The $150,000 limit is available for each individual asset and therefore multiple assets (totalling more than $150,000) can be claimed under this arrangement 4. There is NO LIMIT to the number of assets acquired under this initiative 5. Assets can be purchased outright or financed on Chattel Mortgage or CHP (Finance Lease will not work for this initiative) 6. FAST TRACK (No Financials) Finance is available on most assets across a broad range of Financiers 7. 16.01.2022 In view of the recent hot weather, it is time to check your refrigeration units. Below are some of the very real issues that can happen when not maintaining your fridges. The picture below shows a poorly maintained fridge that caught fire. The fire brigade was called and the operator subsequently paid more than $1200.00. The operator was actually fortunate, had there been more serious damage to property, or worse, injury to people the operator was responsible.... This can and does happen if refrigeration systems are not maintained. If you need any help with your fridges give us a call on 07 3889 4334. we are more than Happy to give you a training session. We are also happy to assess and clean your refrigeration units and schedule routine maintenance.

11.01.2022 Everyone is probably already doing this, but, just in case CMS have shared the following ... EQUIPMENT CLEANING: COVID-19 There is a heightened awareness of cleaning and sanitizing public touchpoints commonly found on vending machines. General Guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing your vending equipment: Personal safety is most important and personal protective equipment such as disposable gloves, and safety glasses should be worn as protection against spray or splatter when using any cleaning agent. Gloves should be properly discarded after cleaning and hands should be washed immediately after removal. Properly discard any cleaning products and paper towels and, launder any cloths or rags. Inside the Machine: Use detergent in warm water to clean the surface in the product areas of the machine and rinse with clean water. Outside Machine Panels: Use a wet wipe, or spray a clean soft cloth or paper towel with a cleaning agent to wipe down consumer touch points and other areas like key pads, delivery areas, coin mechanisms, dollar bill acceptors or card readers. A non-ammonia glass cleaner may be used for touch screens and other glass surfaces but care must be taken to prevent contact with surrounding materials. Do not spray any cleaner directly on the machine or any of these components. NOTE: Many of the cleaning methods and disinfecting agents as described by the CDC are targeted for at-home use. Some of the chemicals and cleaning agents may be incompatible with vending equipment. If there is a question, test a small inconspicuous area first. Do not use products that contain abrasives, solvents, alcohol, or ammonia. More information on specific equipment can be found in the attached user manuals.
