07.01.2022 The picture above shows how you could organize a small table as an area to create your art. The good news is that you don't have to have a spare garage, or loft, or room to be able to create art! Often when people say "studio" they imagine a large area with easels and benches. Well, that is the ultimate, but most people don't have a spare garage or room! So let's rethink "studio". What you do need is a space where you can create art and it could be a desk or small table. Man...y people are very inventive in making space. Some people put a piece of plastic over a desk and an old towel on the floor (for drips and dust). Lots of people use a folding plastic table. I've found a great range of all sizes at Bunnings and Officeworks. If you don't have a lot of room, they can be easily folded and stored when you have finished creating for the day. I've found it is a good idea to have a place to put your art materials eg a plastic box or a shelf, so they are easy to access next time. Always keep healthy and safety in mind. Here are a few tips: (A) Don't use anything that you are going to eat or drink out of, for your art materials. Keep these very separate. (B) Keep electric cords well away from water. If using a device charge it up beforehand and remove the cords. Raise the device above the table height so spills won't affect it. (C) Put water containers inside another plastic container. (D) Have a towel or cloth ready to wipe up spills. (E) Don't wash up art materials in the kitchen sink! The Laundry tubs might be a better option. This course is aimed at the beginner! For an hour each week for 6 weeks, Jennifer will lead you through the drawing basics of line, tone, and shape. You'll be shown how to make an object on a flat page look three-dimensional, and how to draw leaves that twist and turn. ... The course starts next week on Wednesday 21 OCtober 2020. 05.01.2022 We, at Brizart, love our new website! I've been using Adobe Muse for my site, and as other Muse uses will know, Adobe has stated that it will not be continuing to support it in the years to come. So the time came to update. I choose WordPress as it is so dynamic and versatile. I also realized very quickly that I needed to consult an expert to get the site up and running quickly!! I'm learning that there really are times that is it much more clever business to bring in exper...ts for some things, rather than stressing out for hours and hours over something that can be done much, much better, and quicker, by an expert! I wish I'd learnt this lesson years ago! The wonderful Peta McDonald-Smith from Moonstone Creative made it all look soooo easy ( though it's not!!!). Peta was a Brizart student for about five years so I knew she has a great aesthetic. A talented designer, a WordPress expert, and fantastic to work with!!!
