18.01.2022 UPDATE AS OF 24/5/20 Words are not enough to show how thankful we all truly are for everyones kind and encouraging words, show of support and donations.... As you can imagine it has been a busy week for the family collecting generous donations and attenting to what is required to get Tom's place moving forward. I know Tom will be loving the warmth of his jackets, boots and clothing with this ridiculously cold snap we are having. Along with having a warm place to sleep of a night. To all that have kept up with the amazing response to the Donations page and have shared it far and wide. WOW ! Thanks to you all we have almost met target amount. This will relieve so much stress and worry, our gratitude goes beyond a simple thankyou. I would ask if you could all please post Tom a card to offer support I know it would mean so much to him. It is when the night is still and thoughts wonder that these wonderful cards and pictures from children see Tom through. Some of you may know him as Tom Dunning or Pop as he delivers Hay to the community. Tom lost his beautiful wife and best friend Lorraine 8 weeks ago, and on the same day he picked up her ashes he was admitted to hospital and finds out he has prostrate cancer and now yesterday afternoon he lost his family home in a fire! Nothing was able to be salvaged, no cash/wallet, clothing not even his late wife, Lorraines ashes. The firies tried but beong timber it just took too quickly. Due to his belated wife's pets still on the property Tom will not leave and stayed there roughing it. There is no electricity as that burnt in the fire too. He aims to live in the only standing shed at age 74 with only the clothes on his back. What else does this generous kind hearted man have to go through. I am reaching out to the community if you know of anyone that has anything that they are willing to donate.Vouchers fuel food petbarn even Think if your grandfather just lost everything, wife passed 8 weeks ago and now diagnosed with cancer, this is Tom / Pop situation.
