12.01.2022 More than just a meal is exactly what Warren considers Meals on Wheels to be, when he receives his Meals by David on a Friday Morning. Every Friday morning around 10am David delivers and unpacks Warren’s meals. But this is not where David and Warren’s interaction ends. David and Warren chat for at least half an hour about a range of things, whether it be current affairs, Gold Coast politics during the 1970s and 1980s or just a general catch up over what has happened during t...heir week. Not only are Meals on Wheels volunteers there to make getting delicious and nutritious meals easier. They want to make a difference in the lives of those they see, whether it is collecting the mail and bringing it in with the meals, helping with something around the house or just to make your day brighter by seeing a smiling face. This is why David Volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He wanted to help make a difference in the lives of those he delivers meals to. This is evident watching David and Warren interact, the friendship they have developed is one to be admired and their Friday catch ups put a smile on both of their faces. Story by Tara - thank you!

11.01.2022 Evan Hill, Chief Executive of QMOW would like to send a wave of appreciation to all volunteers! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpnes-KERUM&feature=youtu.be

08.01.2022 Not Drop and Go - But Stay & Chat. Anyone can deliver a meal, but they won’t stay and chat, bring in the post, give a helping hand, or call help if it's needed. Do you know someone who might be interested in having meals delivered? Email us [email protected] or phone 07 5526 2300

07.01.2022 One of our amazing volunteers, David Harding, accepting a BP gift card for his exceptional volunteering and contribution to Broadbeach Meals on Wheels BP graciously donated these gift cards to the Australian Meals on Wheels Association (AMOWA), who then distributed them to Queensland Meals on Wheels (QMOW) and onto local services! Congratulations, David We appreciate you and all of your hard work at Broadbeach Meals on Wheels.

03.01.2022 A very big thank you to RB (Reckitt Benckiser) for donating essential cleaning supplies to Meals on Wheels! Over the Covid period RB have undertaken to donate $1 milion worth of product to Meals on Wheels in Australia ... We received our allocation of Glen 20 and Pine O Cleen here at Broadbeach Meals on Wheels and we can't wait to distribute them out to our clients and volunteers. We are taking all of the necessary steps to remain COVID safe, and we are beyond thankful for this donation!
