25.01.2022 Hi All, As you are aware the Government has just announced a 4-week lockdown of the following Suburbs. If you live in these suburbs, unfortunately you will not be able to play golf at Broadford.... With the current restrictions placed upon the club, we are only permitted to allow a certain number of people on the course to play in our competitions & we have already reached that quota. ... 20.01.2022 Good afternoon Members, Due to the relaxation of COVID restrictions in regional Victoria, we are pleased to advise that we can make some important changes to our Wednesday and Saturday golf days. From 11:59pm on Wednesday, 16th of September, the following changes will be made;... - Groups of 4 allowed - Competition allowed ( Fees will now be mandatory to enter Competition, payable by nominated Captain of your group. Cards will be issued from Pro Shop on receipt of payment) - NTP’s and Prizes will be awarded - An updated Syllabus for the rest of the year will be released soon - Use of Club rooms is still severely restricted, but we can have limited numbers outdoors. 18.01.2022 74 players participated in our Mixed Stroke event today. Many players were grateful for the cloud cover as the weather heated up. Wecome back to Greg Holmes and Mary Claassen who visited from Bendigo today. Overall winner and C Grade Ian Solyom (22) 64 nett on a countback from David Sutherland (26) 64. A Grade Martin Leahy (5) 64 nett, Runner up Paul Bratusa (11) 65 nett. B Grade Peter Clappison (17) 67 nett Runner up Mary Campbell (13) 69 nett.... NTP'S: 4th Martin Leahy 11th Bill Milne 16th Carl Petersen 9th Barry Nesbitt. This was also the super pin. Barry put his ball 62cm from the pin and took home $200. 18.01.2022 Good morning everyone, Listed below are the instructions for Competition Bookings. We have now had a week of the COVID-19 restrictions and we wish to clearly point out the requirements for Competition Golf.... All bookings MUST be made by TEXT message with Gerry Hanson 0409 143 107 between 9am-6pm by Tuesday (Wednesday Golf) and Friday for (Saturday Golf). Start times Wednesday from 8.30am Saturday from 10am Gerry will confirm your Tee Off time. Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior. All events are Stableford. No Booking, No Play. Try to put a group of 4 together. 1 person from the group collects the money and deposits it in an envelope to be placed in the slot near the office. Limited food will be available on Saturday’s. Carts are NOT to be driven on Fairways and no closer than 10 mts from Greens. Bring your own SAND BUCKET, not to be put back after use. Only 1 person per cart, bookings with Chris Spencer 0412 509 774. DO NOT USE PUTTER TO REMOVE BALL FROM THE HOLE, only by hand, Flag-stick not to be removed. Preferred lies within your Fairway. 18.01.2022 Much calmer day today than it has been recently. There were 58 playing in the mixed stableford event today. Today's winner Robert Williamson (20) 42 points, runner up Tim Lawless (15) 39 points. Several players had 38 points. NTP: 11th Peter Winnell D & P: 6th James Doyle. The next time we play it will be 2021. Let's hope for a much better year. Happy New Year to everyone.



17.01.2022 Another great day for golf. Today's event was mixed 4BBB stableford with 60 players. The winners were James Doyle and Joel King with a great score of 51 points. Next best were Lance Laugier and John Lahey with 48 points. NTP 16th Ian Lee, D&P 6th Jeff Ranger.

17.01.2022 MESSAGE TO MEMBERS: Hi All,... Due to the escalation of the COVID 19 threat, we have been advised by Golf Australia that the Course must be closed until April 13th at least. This means that NO Golf is to be played on the Course, effective immediately. We understand this is a very strong measure, but we must fall into line with other courses around the State. 16.01.2022 Welcome back to our Melbourne members. Hope you enjoyed being back on the golf course. Another blustery day greeted 58 players (which included 10 ladies) for their round of golf. Despite the wind there were some good scores. Todays winner John Wanneck (21) 41 points. Other good scores Greg Hanson (7) 40 points. The Health and Safety of everybody is our highest priority at the moment, and while we understand our Melbourne Members will be disappointed, we must do our part to help stop the spread of the virus.... 13.01.2022 Hi All, We have been advised by several people who tried to travel from Melbourne to play the Course today, that they were turned back at Police road blocks. Despite the fact that Golf Australia have advised it is OK to travel here, we feel it needs to be clarified with Government again.... Rather than put our Melbourne Members in danger of Fines, we ask that you do not come up tomorrow for Golf. We should have this confirmed early next week. 09.01.2022 Evening All, Victoria is obviously experiencing a surge in Covid 19 cases, resulting in our Shire being locked down. Fortunately, we are still able to play Golf under certain conditions, which have just been released by Golf Australia in conjunction with the Victorian Government.... There are important changes to our Golf day which must be adhered to: NO COMPETITIONS TO BE PLAYED GROUPS OF 2 ONLY NO HIRE CARTS AVAILABLE CLUB ROOMS WILL BE CLOSED BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL ON SATURDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS While formal Competition is not allowed, Saturdays and Wednesdays will still be reserved for Members only, and we respectfully request a donation to assist with the running of the Club ( Saturday - $10, Wednesday - $5 ) New bookings for Saturday have already been allocated, check in Mi Golf on the website to confirm your time please. If you are not confirmed, bookings are now open. Tee off is now from the 1st Hole only, so please be respectful of your fellow Members, play at a reasonable pace and be patient. 09.01.2022 There were 63 players braving the heat for today's mixed stableford. The winner was Paul Howe (25) with a score of 42 points, this was on a countback from John Wanneck (18). Other good scores Robert S. McDonald (17) , Ray Candy (25) both with 40 points. NTP: 9th Joel King D&P: 15th Greg Hanson.

09.01.2022 Perhaps the drizzly weather deterred some players today as there were only 48 players in the mixed stableford. As the day went on the weather did improve. Shortened 9 hole comp for kids without a handicap. 9 hole comp off the red tees for kids with a handicap. Supervised groups of 4. Kids will learn the rules of golf while enjoying a fun morning with their friends. Clubs can be provided if needed. Children under 12 must have parent supervision. 07.01.2022 Another great day to be out on the golf course with 72 players enjoying the sunshine. Today we welcomed 10 players from Yea golf club. Some had not played at Broadford before, hope you enjoyed the course. Today's event was mixed stableford (8 ladies). The winner with 42 points was Daryl Wallis (14) on a countback from John Wanneck (21). Next best were Robert M. McDonald, Tom Fenton, Robert Paice, Stewart Nichols and John Lahey all with 38 points. There has been a change to next weeks competition. We will no longer be playing the 3 club event, instead it will be 4BBB. Advance notice for Wednesday 16th December. This will be Ambrose - 3 men and a lady.

05.01.2022 PACE OF PLAY During the Covid restriction period we will be invoking a new Local Rule, in accordance with Golf Australia Regulations. If a Players ball is lost or hit out of bounds, they drop the ball in the vicinity of where the ball is deemed lost or out of bounds, incurring a 2 Stroke Penalty.... Player cannot return to the Tee to hit another ball. This is done in the interests of not holding up your fellow Members, remembering we can only play in pairs off the 1st Tee. Please note also that Takeaway Food and Beverages will be available from the Pro Shop on Saturdays only.

01.01.2022 Hi All, We have been advised by Mitchell Shire that all organised sport within our region has been banned. All Competition is now suspended until further notice.... You can still use the Course individually, but NO MORE THAN 2 people together. The fines for non compliance of this directive by Council are $100,000, so this is serious.
