12.01.2022 As the grass begins to dry out keep your eyes peeled for signs that your pet has picked up a grass seed. Grass seeds are sharp, scratchy and can do some serious damage to our pets. We have seen grass seeds cause eye ulcers, rupture ear drums and travel to unbelievable places under the skin. Warning sigs include squinting, shaking their head or has swelling under the skin (particularly between the toes). It doesn't take long for a grass seed to do significant damage. If you see these signs a trip to the clinic is needed as soon as possible! http://broadfordvets.com.au//Grass-Seeds-a-Summer-Concern-

We can also check your pet's micrichip details to ensure your contact numbers are current before you head off.

06.01.2022 There are so many reasons not to let your dog run up to others, this is only one of them.

06.01.2022 Puppy preschool is so important for the development of your dog! You can teach old dogs new tricks but getting a great foundation in early makes the rest so much easier! We recommend Dog Solutions. You can sign up online at https://www.dogsolutions.com.au/ https://fearfreehappyhomes.com/how-long-does-it-take-to-tr/

06.01.2022 Rabbits make fantastic pets! There is, however, a lot of misinformation out there about how to care for rabbits. This is to their detriment. Dental disease, gut health and longevity all suffer when we don't meet our pet rabbits requirements. Many pellet and grain diets are unsuitable for most bunnies, commercial hutches are often far too small for adequate exercise and comfort. Ticking off these essentials will mean your rabbit remains happy, healthy and will give you many years of companionship! http://broadfordvets.com.au//Keeping-Pet-Rabbits-Happy.aspx

05.01.2022 We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year. May 2021 bring us as much happiness as Dora finds with this towel. Be safe. Be well. We will see you again once we are back from our break (from the 4th of January).

03.01.2022 There have been a number of local grass fires recently. We hope everyone is staying safe! Please remember to include your pets when making an emergency plan for the family. Have safe travel containers available for each animal you plan to take with you during an evaluation.

02.01.2022 The recommendations around how, when, why and with what to drench have changed over the years. Drench resistance is a very real problem in agriculture. http://broadfordvets.com.au//Strategic-Approach-to-Worms-T
