25.01.2022 We are still open for business as usual. This update has been provided directly from the Ava. COVID-19: Victoria - further restrictions Veterinary clinics remain an essential service. Veterinary clinics and related services, including on-farm visits and visits to veterinary clinics, animal minding services and artificial insemination are permitted to continue operating. ... Key Points relevant to veterinary care Face coverings are now mandatory for all Victorian residents that are 12 years of age and over unless having a lawful excuse Metropolitan Melbourne residents should avoid travelling further than 5kms from their home. For veterinary care or collection of supplies from a veterinary clinic, clients MAY travel further than 5kms. The restriction on travelling further than 5kms from their home is not applicable to regional Victoria (which includes Mitchell Shire) In Metropolitan Melbourne, only one person per household should be obtaining services or products with the exception of accompanying dependants (children or at- risk persons). Client advice There are no restrictions on clients attending veterinary clinics even if the veterinary clinic is not within a 5km radius of their home. Seeking veterinary care is considered ‘health and care’ and is therefore exempt from curfew hours although appointments should be made within curfew hours, with emergency consultations only outside curfew hours. It is advisable that consideration be given to issuing your clients with confirmation of a veterinary appointment via a letter or text message to avoid delays if questioned by enforcement officers whilst traveling. COVID-19 Notification rules applicable to employers and self-employed persons Veterinary clinics have pleasingly reported no COVID-19 infections across Australia. This is not by accident the workplace processes implemented and precautions taken in relation to infection control by all veterinarians and their staff has been exceptional.

25.01.2022 From our little family to yours. Merry Christmas. This is part of our team who kept the practice running. People who work in the veterinary industry know just how hard it’s been but we can honestly say we have adapted and grown as a team throughout the toughest year of our lives. We worked from the car park, home schooled at work and worked with limited team members and did endless amounts of overtime in order to keep us safe throughout covid. Our patient care standards upheld throughout the entire process. An amazing effort and we thank you. Dr Esh missed our photo but he is taking a well deserved few days break with his beautiful family. Looking forward to seeing you all soon. Xxx

19.01.2022 Happy New Year To all of our Wonderful clients and Patients!! 2020 was a rough ride! Not only was it rough on us it was also pretty tough on little Lilly! Lilly is pictured here with our Wonderful Nurse Katja who joined our team in 2020. Lilly is lucky to have a lovely Mum that loves her dearly and had noticed Lilly has been having some small seizures come into see Dr. Esh. After some investigation Lilly has been diagnosed with Epilepsy! Yes dogs can get it too! Lilly is now... on daily medication to control her seizures. She will be on it for the rest of her life and will need regular visits to check the medication levels are correct. If Lilly stops medication it is likely that she will begin having seizures once again. Now Lilly ended up back in hospital week and a bit after finding out about her Epilepsy due to a block of cheese!!! This little cutie decided to raid the Rubbish Bin and found her self a block of cheese. The cheese did not agree with her and ended up in hospital with Pancreatitis. This is very common in dogs that are over weight and that like to eat highly fatty foods. The pancreas becomes inflamed which causes the dog to be very Painful, lethargic and disinterested in food. So Little Lilly was hospitalized for a few days and nursed back to health. She needs to stay away for all fatty foods! We love her and so happy to see her wagging tail again! See more
