24.01.2022 We have just hosted a special occasion for guests Marc and Kim. Marc, a hopeless romantic secretly organised with help from friends and ourselves a surprise wedding proposal! It was a truly wonderful event. Kim was totally surprised when she arrived after having a special dinner at Maximillians restaurant to find the garden transformed with fairy lights and a pathway of rose petals and tealights leading down the garden steps to the lower landing where Marc privately got on ...one knee and popped the question. Of course Kim said YES! Hidden out of sight were all their friends and family waiting to surprise Kim. So much screaming for joy and happiness, it was such a privilege to be apart of this special occasion. As hosts it was so satisfying for Brockhurst to be used for a wedding proposal and look so magical with fairy lights and a tealights everywhere. Celebrations continued with food and drink and lots of laughter. Thank you Kim and Marc for sharing your special occasion with us. All the very best for your future together. 22.01.2022 We have our 5 guests stay this weekend, have just taken the 12 booking since listing 4 weeks ago. Deb and I are delight!! This is the Review from Isabelle and Spiro: A beautiful B&B would highly recommend to anyone. Brian and Deb thought of absolutely everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing, all the way down to the hardness/softness of pillows to sleep on. Could not fault a thing. Beautiful views out of the balcony and window above the bed. Stay here or you’ll miss out!

Bec's family and her friends joined her Saturday morning before the wedding and had photos taken in the garden. 03.01.2022 Last month we had the pleasure of having Lisa Barker and her family stay with us at Brockhurst. Lisa lived at Brockhurst as a small girl and had very fond memo...ries of growing up here with her family, four sisters and a brother. Lisa arranged for her mother and family to visit one Sunday afternoon to reminisce and share stories. A good time was had by all. According to Lisa, the garden was an extremely special place for all the family and having afternoon tea under the old oak tree was very special. Unfortunately Deb and I were in Darwin on the Sunday and didn’t get to meet the family. But, when we returned we spent time with Lisa sharing the history of Brockhurst and listening to the wonderful life she had as a child. Generously, Lisa provided old photos of herself, the family and Brockhurst in late 1960s and early 1970s. See more

02.01.2022 We keep getting wonderful reviews from our guests on Airbnb. It is so satisfying and heartwarming. Having a bed & breakfast has been so positive. We get to meet amazing people from all over Australia and the world. Here is our latest review from Maddie & James. Public feedback: 'Brian and Deb were amazing hosts. They were communicative but gave us privacy, and all the little touches throughout the space were so nice - fresh flowers, wifi/chromecast/netflix, and great coffee/...tea/breakfast amenities. The space itself was beautiful - especially the window above the bed where you could lie in bed and see the stars! It was so peaceful. The property was gorgeous and the gardens were just lovely. Although the space is attached to the main house, there is a separate entrance that feels like you're at your own place - it's very private and well thought out.
