You can tune in at 14.35 minute mark if you want to listen in and hear how I want to work with and support events industry leaders to grow our Citys vibrancy: Smart city: We need to make it really easy for you to do what you need to plan and deliver great events. You should be able to manag...e approvals and coordination with the City of Perth through your smart device, while you are on the go. Vibrant City: Events are key to driving vibrancy through the city. We need a year-round calendar of events which activate spaces across the City. Global City: We are in the fastest-growing region in the world, we need to take advantage of that and attract global events to Perth. 14.01.2022 Hi, my name is Gaye and I am Brodies very proud Mum! Brodies team have just made this very cool new profile picture so I can let you all know about just how proud I am! (I had previously updated my profile picture to a campaign image of Brodie, which apparently isnt the done thing). I am blessed with the most incredible family - Lex and I have been married for 41 years, Brodie and partner Gianni, Cale, Brodies brother and Michelle and our gorgeous Maddy who is just over 2... years old with a baby brother due very soon. I retired in 2018 after 44 years of nursing, a career I absolutely loved. After the first year of retirement, I decided it was time to give back to the community in a different way and commenced a volunteer position with a community aged care provider working to achieve the new Aged Care Standards. When Brodie told us he was going to nominate for Mayor we were not surprised. We have watched Brodie develop into such an amazing person. Brodie has a great love of family, has created a thriving business and community and is capable of achieving anything he sets his mind to. It has been so exciting and inspiring to be part of Brodies campaign, starting with the Hack for Mayor event followed by, delivering flyers to residents, and helping book multiple meet and greet opportunities around the entire City of Perth. Ive discovered so many new favourite places, met wonderful business owners and bought a lot of cake and cookies! I know Brodie will be a Mayor who is absolutely committed to achieving the vision the ratepayers want for the City of Perth. As he has always done, Brodie has an ability to create a great culture, he will be caring, inclusive and work with the entire community to create the city they want, and we can all be proud of. 03.01.2022 A few people have asked me about the journey of setting up Spacecubed, who it helps, and how it started. Spacecubed started as one space but has now grown to be supporting infrastructure underpinning seven spaces, four located in the CBD. We have built a technology platform to manage organisational spaces, provide the community building and operational systems. Today, Spacecubeds spaces are home to more than 300 organisations and 700 of their staff across more than 6,500 square metres of space. 02.01.2022 Great to meet with CEO Chris Smith and some of the residents at Foundation Housing Ltd on Tuesday. We discussed both the challenges and opportunities to support people transitioning from homelessness and some of the realities our city faces in working with State Government, Social Services, Business and the broader community to ensure resources are impacting at the right time and place. There has been a lot of work already done and I intend to champion and build on that work. #LetsLeadChange
