21.01.2022 Blessings of long hot sunny summer days and nights- fruit dries on a rack outside. These are the figs that were started outside 10 days ago finally dry and ready to pack away. You do need to bring them in at night- a drop in temperature can ruin them, and they are attractive to ants so make sure they are cleaned off before packing.

10.01.2022 Social media can educate, entertain and empower us but often what we see is the end product not the process. We are as guilty as the next person/page of showing where we are now without any context so thought it would be good to delve into our photo album and show where we have come from. 25 or so years ago we took the plunge to sell our small home in Melbourne and move to the Bega Valley with four children, to build our, and our children's future using permaculture as a ...tool. These photos show what we started with. To see where we are at now check out the video at out website www.permaculturedesign.com.au

04.01.2022 Another great grassroots organisation getting support through Permafund - Permaculture International Public Fund. Although grants are distributed at certain times of the year giving can occur any day you choose!

04.01.2022 Another great story of some of the large scale water harvesting projects in India. This one from the amazing ecovillage of Auroville. I was fortunate to meet Australian Josh Brooks in the early 1990's who introduced permaculture to the project in the late 1970's after the first permaculture books came out. It's a simple message yet so profound.....Catch and Store Water; Build Soil; Grow Food & Vegetation.
