17.01.2022 Celebrating NAIDOC week here at Broken Bay Pearl Farm, which is located on the land of the Darkinjung people. Since the dawn of time it always was, always will be - Aboriginal land. When Captain Phillip first visited Mooney Mooney on the Hawkesbury River, he noted in his diary that native women were carving fish hooks from the pearl oyster shells found around this land. We were lucky enough earlier this year to have Bruce Wiggan the traditional land owner of our Cygnet B...ay Pearl Farm , visit us here at Broken Bay. During his stay he met Gavin (Gavvy) Wyndham-Duncan, who is a local Elder from the Darkinjung people. Bruce and Gavvy both have stories to tell of their ancestors and culture, and capture our attention whenever we get the pleasure of being in their presence.

13.01.2022 Love at first sight! Finding a pearl on tour and falling in love with it is a common occurrence here at Broken Bay.....

12.01.2022 It's not far from magic, the story of a growing pearl. But it's also hard work for our pearl farmers. They get dirty and muddy, and so can our pearl shell! So every few weeks the farmers 'give our shell a bath'. They wash the shell to help keep them clean and healthy so they can grow those pretty little pearls we love
