25.01.2022 The secret pop-up for those who got one of our T-shirts was a huge success. We are so grateful for everyone’s support. We learned so much and are on the verge of our official opening. Just hold tight for the official announcement.

24.01.2022 Our first burger shop jersey swap is a pretty meaningful one. If you have followed us for long you will already know @trippburgers but if you are still in the dark hop over to Tripp’s page and see what he’s all about. Simple burgers made right.

21.01.2022 We are getting close now. If you are looking for some hours on the sink or griddle now is the time to spam our DM’s.

20.01.2022 Say good riddance to twenty-twenty with a burger. Closed New Years Day, back to our regular hours on Saturday.

18.01.2022 Online ordering at bopple.app/menu/7202

14.01.2022 Celebrated the NBA finals and @lakers championship with some backyard smashes. I can’t fit in a caption how much LA, basketball, the lakers, KOBE all tie into the story of how @brokenheartsburgerclub came to be. If you are ever in the mood for a double, fries, shake and a story catch my attention in store and I’ll tell you a tale or two.

12.01.2022 Closed today, back at it 4pm tomorrow. The team needs a rest and we need to restock for a new week. I’m so proud of the burgers we put on plates from day 1. We have learned so much this week and our wait times are dropping fast as we refine our art on a commercial scale. For those of you who missed our pop-ups and had their first BHBC Burger this week, rest assured you got the real deal and one of the best we have ever made.... Photo: The Weekend Edition Brisbane

10.01.2022 For those who asked where to find pre-ordering on Facebook.

10.01.2022 It’s been a while between posts. I’m really bad at focusing on more than one thing at a time and the restaurant game is pretty much just non-stop juggling (hats off to the people with 50 menu items). I wanted to reach out and say thank you to everyone that jump started our Google profile with kind reviews. Your endorsements and word of mouth is not just the lifeblood of our little business, it also fills us with joy. Exciting things on the horizon: we are opening for lunch on... Friday-Sunday. We will assess how it goes and hopefully extend that to 7 days a week ASAP. Delivery via Menulog will kick off soon, at least during off peak hours. Finally, we are casually looking out for another location. If you travel a distance for your burger, let us know what suburb you traveled from and we will add a vote to your suburb.

08.01.2022 Special hours this week, then back to normal. We are working towards opening lunches early 2021. Stay tuned.

06.01.2022 Since open we have been selling our Fancy. It’s still the same BHBC classic burger with some fresh lettuce, tomato and onion. We experimented with shredded lettuce for a few burgers at the recommendation of our supplier but it heats too fast under our sizzling smash and doesn’t retain that fresh crisp bite that you can’t find this side of In n Out. We also tested some fancy lettuce, but sometimes the flavour is just a bit potent when all you really want from your sandwich ingredients is texture. At the moment, I’m in love with this burger. It’s got great SoCal vibes.

05.01.2022 As our awesome staff grow and find their rhythm our wait times have been getting shorter, without making any sacrifices to our high quality, melt in your mouth burgers that we built our reputation on. For our LA based friends and family that were smashing and flipping with me before BHBC was even an idea, I’m dying to get you the burger in its current form: As soon as restrictions allow I’m going to bring a little crew to LA for a sneaky little semi-legal street pop-up.

05.01.2022 One last smash before we pack away our adorable liddle griddle. We got the heavy artillery getting installed at the shop this week. Might require some taste testers to get us up to speed on the new equipment.

03.01.2022 Thank you @motzburger for the advice and the hook up. Also thanks @trippburgers for putting us on George’s radar.

03.01.2022 WHAT ! Chicken sandwiches at the Burger Club? This little side project was supposed to be a grand opening surprise, but due to delays with the shop we thought we would leak this menu sidekick early for your feedback. Like our smash burger our chicken sandwich is simple, humble, but will hopefully melt your heart . First of all, we don’t pretend around here, so let’s be clear. Unlike our smash burger that you have watched us refine over the year, this is a blank canvas and w...e look forward to your feedback so we can begin the peer review process all over again. That being said! Don’t think for a second that we are setting the bar low. We have borrowed from Sam the Cooking Guy’s attempt to make the @chickfila’s cult classic chicken sandwich better (see the video in our story), and made a brand new broken hearts sauce that is probably unlike anything this side of a Louisiana po-boy. Sound delicious? We got a long way to go, but this time you will get to taste the journey with us. I can’t wait.

03.01.2022 We have survived our first two days and we are really starting to find our rhythm. Day one started with a line out the door and it stayed that way the entire night. It was a lot for our brand new staff to take on, but with the kindness and patience of our customers, we got through it and while wait times got wild, the food was not compromised. Day 2, we really found some rhythm in the kitchen and despite a huge dinner rush, the kitchen smashed their way through the orders wit...h swagger and steez, while I wiped tables and dishes like it was my life’s calling. Huge thank you to everyone who came along and tested us, and especially to those who were gracious when wait times extended. MOST of all,a huge thank you too our staff, Mitch, Dale, Lilli, Spencer and Annita. You have trained and delivered under immense pressure and then shown up smiling the next day. Ché and I are SOOO grateful, our hearts might explode. Finally, one of the perks of having a shop is diners do the photography for me , checkout this tray snap from @f.a.t.susie. Keep testing us, keep taking photos and sharing your experience. It’s the lifeblood that will keep this little burger joint bumping.

03.01.2022 Since our last post the fancy has become our most popular burger, so let me explode it for those who like to read. The name Fancy is a tongue in cheek dig at the simplicity of our offering. No avocado, brie cheese or beetroot on site. This burger follows the same Southern California principles that makes the La Segunda @innout my first stop every time I touch down at LAX. The core process remains the same, we give the bun a bit of bake and hit it with a shot of steam in ou...r combi oven. Roll butter. toast. The heel (bottom bun) goes to the doping station while the crown (top bun) rides the patty and cheese still on the griddle just like our classic. Doping also starts like the Classic with sauce and pickles. If it tickles your fancy we sprinkle some diced onion on the sauce. Then it gets hit with crisp lettuce and a large middle slice of tomato. If you have discussed burgers with me or read other captions you will probably be familiar with our obsession for texture. That’s why we use the only the freshest sections of the freshest ingredients and insist you don’t let too much time pass from griddle to mouth . I like it as a single, but it’s also a great way to break up a double or triple if you are not a level 10 cheeseburger enthusiast. Hope to see you soon.

02.01.2022 We are looking for a grill cook with experience in a high pace kitchen to join our new venture in Morningside. We currently open 4-9pm 6 days a week but will be looking to expand hours as we staff up. Position will initially be casual but we can make it permanent once consistentcy and reliability has been demonstrated. Please send your interest.

02.01.2022 One person who needs to be acknowledged is @pthiot photographed here re-enacting the time he got hit by a dump truck (a story for another time). Pierce is our LA based partner and while he insists on staying silent and behind the scenes his contribution to everything so far has been enormous. Pierce and his family were supposed to visit Australia this year, but obviously plans had to change due to COVID19. This means he is yet to have a single bite of the burger he has invest...ed both time and money in . It is just a burger, but just a burger is all you need to spend a moment with a buddy on a weekday evening or a few hundred hours planning a shop with a best friend stuck on the other side of the planet. I hope this gives some context to his story that I’m about to share.
