Every business has different structures and circumstances and not everyone fits in to the same business box. We have so many phone calls and emails that begin with... my friend said.... Their circumstances might be true for them but might not apply in the same way to you and your business. Please talk to your accountant when you are unsure of your situation and need advice. We are ...here to help and would much prefer our clients talk to us now rather than end up in an unfortunate situation later. 10.01.2022 With the easing of restrictions the government has said that if you can work from home then you must in order to help reduce the risk. We have been working from home for a few weeks now and will continue to do so until 30 June. As always we are available on email and phone and can still arrange appointments where required.... We have been burning the midnight oil to have all of clients on top of everything and now it’s time for tax planning!!! 07.01.2022 From August 3, the JobKeeper eligible employee test has been extended to include individuals who were employed by your business on 1 July 2020 and are not currently nominated for Job Keeper by another entity. So you can retest staff who failed to be eligible at 1 March. Employers have until 31 August 2020 to catch up on wages for Fortnight 10 for all new eligible employees included under the 1 July Eligibility test. If an employee made a nomination based on employment on 1 Ma...rch with a previous employer they have now ceased that employment, they can make a new nomination with new employer based on their employment as at 1 July. 07.01.2022 It’s official.... we are finally taking a break! It’s been a crazy, hectic, exhausting, fulfilling, and humbling year. Thankfully We have been able to support all of clients throughout this crazy rollercoaster and seeing them get through with success is the most rewarding part of our business. We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and new year’s break, to spend time with their loved ones and have time to renew their energy and motivation to achieve all of their goals ...and dreams in 2021. 06.01.2022 Just a heads up for processing your payroll this week. A majority of the accounting softwares have updated the payg tax tables over the last few days to be in line with the new individual tax rates/cuts. For some of your employees they may still have the same gross pay as every other week but the net amount you are required to pay them will be more than usual. As their tax is reduced.
