18.01.2022 The correct diet is just as important for our pet birds as it is for our other furry family member. In the first photo here you will see Nurse Katie's galah Dennis enjoying a shower with a spray bottle. In the second photo you can see his fresh 'chop' that he gets daily (as well as his pellets) which is specific to his breed. This weeks raw treats in the bowl below include:... *Kale *Bok choy *Brussel sprouts *Red, orange and green capsicums *Carrot *Pink lady apple *finished off with a small sprinkle of pine nuts We are always happy to help with dietry questions related to your pets. Feel free to post photos of your feathered friends below as well!

09.01.2022 "The Aging Pet" The senior pet is faced with some age related conditions such as arthritis and behavioural changes due to cognitive dysfunction. Senior pet owners are recommended to have their pets checked out more frequently so signs of illness or other problems can be detected early before they become advanced or life threatening. Arthritis is very common in older pets just like in older humans. Stiffness in the joints can turn into a reluctance to run, jump or play or eve...n worse avoid any movement at all. Fortunately there are plenty of things that can be done to keep your pet comfortable such as joint health treatments to reduce pain associated with arthritis. Please give the clinic a call on 4152 3255 if you would like to make an appointment for your Senior Pet. See more
