25.01.2022 What do HALO and DUBAWI have in common? Or URBAN SEA and ZENDA? What about SUNDAY SILENCE and DEEP IMPACT (aside from being father and son!)? If you're interested you will surely love my gorgeous 2021 Stallion Calendars! https://bronwenhealy.com.au/shop

21.01.2022 The King of Speed. INVINCIBLE SPIRIT. Sire of Shalaa, the sire of @magicmillions 2yo Classic winner SHAQUERO.

19.01.2022 I’ve been watching this lovely colt for a while since he started racing, but really cross it’s all been from afar due to Covid-Bloody-19!!! Really nice to see DOUBTLAND win the G2 Danehill, but terribly frustrating not to be there photographing it.

18.01.2022 Omigaud.... 1.5m!!! Just sod off ok??? #morningtonpeninsula #lockdown #respecteladistancesociale

17.01.2022 This is the kinda of thing that gives a girl a bit of a smile during darker days. #lockdown #wearamask #morningtonpeninsula

17.01.2022 We should have been at the Memsie Stakes meeting yesterday. Instead this weekend I have sorted and scanned and filed a butt tonne of negatives and Jess dyed my hair. Such is life for us as Lockdown continues on. It sucks. My mood continues to rise and fall with case numbers. Yesterday felt great! Today back to hoping like heck that everyone just stays the *#%! at home so we are allowed back to work!!

17.01.2022 Vale His Highness Prince Khalid bin Abdullah. We are deeply saddened to hear this. Photographing his horses, and being at his farms, has undoubtedly been the most important part of my life with thoroughbreds. Forever grateful and indebted to His Highness.

17.01.2022 SPOONVILLE BITTERN. Hope to see some friends join in soon!! @cathlandrews #lockdown #spoonvillemelbourne #spoonville #morningtonpeninsula

16.01.2022 Spoonville Lockdown Craft Table on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Saturday is always my massive down in the dumps day as we remain locked out of the racetrack and we hate that. But 14 cases today makes me believe we must be close to getting back. Keep it up Melbourne. It’s working. #stayhome #followtherules #morningtonpeninsula #lockdown @cathlandrews

16.01.2022 There’s Never been A Single Doubt about this boy. I am sad that I wasn’t able to be there to capture them (thanks to the ongoing dramas of state borders which are making my work more complicated than it should be).

16.01.2022 My Office during Stage 4 Lockdown. My feelings of frustration are gradually rising as I watch foals being born and good horses starting their campaigns. At least the weather has been diabolical in Melbourne this weekend to ease the pain. Instead of being in the Hunter Valley and behind a camera I’ve been scanning negatives and doing a COVID-I-Bloody-Hate You-Safety-Plan. HUGE shout to all my fellow colleagues and friends - the Melbourne photographers whose businesses and live...lihoods are also on the line. They are fine people and artists. ALL of them. We watch while others who are blessed with more geographical luck are largely unaffected. I’m sure we all wait for the daily numbers with the same feelings of hope and at times despair (this morning being the latter). Surely it must get better soon. We can only hope existing clients and friends remain on our side and welcoming when the lockdown ends. Huge thanks to Melbourne’s wonderful medical workers, who I know from personal experience have put themselves in harms way and are getting sick themselves while they care for Covid stricken Victorians. You know who you are. Get better soon. #stayhome #lockdown #nikonphotography #stagefourlockdownmelbourne @nikonaustralia See more

15.01.2022 Vale BOB INGHAM. Generous. Kind. Gifted. Thanks for the mighty champions Octagonal and Lonhro.

14.01.2022 Moulting season, like Lockdown and Covid-Stupid-Bloody-19, is the gift that just keeps giving. Feeling more upbeat today with falling numbers again. Yes. My mood continues to rise and fall in the opposite direction to our case numbers. #wearamask #lockdown #stayhome #melbourne

13.01.2022 Evens the dogs are happier this week!

13.01.2022 Lockdown Blues. Laughs are always welcome.

11.01.2022 Vale BOB INGHAM. A legend of the Australian Turf.

10.01.2022 Stage 4 Lockdown Saturdays. It’s a rainy morning on the Peninsula. Maxie.... I know you are warm and comfortable but don’t you think it is nearly time for eggses?? Trying not to think about all the horses I should be photographing at this time of spring and missing my Mum in Sydney. Case numbers are continuing to fall though and that makes me happy. Surely it is nearly over!!#lockdown2020 #melbourne

09.01.2022 SHAQUERO (Shalaa x Fimatino) at the 2020 @magicmillions yearling sale. Disappointed to miss the race thanks to stupid COVID and the state border problems that are happening.

08.01.2022 Vale Subzero. Reunited with his beloved Graham Salisbury. Thanks for so many wonderful memories. #subbie #nikonphotography #thoroughbredsofinstagram @nikonaustralia @magicmillions @racingvictoria @freedmanbros

08.01.2022 Don’t worry beautiful mare. There are some plenty of older folks who struggle to stand up on the first attempt. My beautiful 27 year old Holsteiner mare Freelance had a couple of goes standing up after a roll. Don’t you dare give up on me my gorgeous horse. I can’t get by without you.

06.01.2022 Becoming fond of this gorgeous mare SHE SHAO FLY trained by Kev Corstens. She’s running in the G1 Empire Rose on Saturday and is ridden at sunrise at our local beach by Hayley Crane. Good luck team!!

05.01.2022 We are a third of the way through a testing Stage 4 Lockdown. It’s been marked by worry, sadness, financial stress plus keeping more of an eye on potential office jobs than I have in many years (would they be a horseless desert???). There’s been a little bit of distracting fun by going on bike rides within our 5km zone and swapping the usually depressing evening news in favour of rewatching much more fun films like How to Train Your Dragon, Pixar and other animated classics ...with the kids. SBS On Demand has some great french films, including a fabulous one called Jappeloup. I’m trying to do my french homework, and can now stumble my way through the french news which has no subtitles. And I spend a little bit of time sitting on a bucket in my horse’s paddock taking bird photos while she eats, although admittedly I haven’t had the heart to edit many of the recent photos yet. We are hoping for better days soon and seeing the new foals, stallions and getting back to the track and finally being able to put the new equipment into use. #isolation #lockdown #lockdownMelbourne #stagefour #nikonphotography See more

03.01.2022 Maybe I missed my calling and RVL have been trying to tell me something by not letting me work for 6 months? The big installation is about to happen. #spoonville #spoonvillemelbourne #lockdown #morningtonpeninsula @cathlandrews

02.01.2022 I feel really sad about the death of champion mare ATLANTIC JEWEL. She’s pictured here smashing the field in what proved to be her final race, the time honoured Caulfield Stakes. She broke down again shortly after that and was retired to stud. I think she’d have won the Cox Plate on her ear. We last saw her in Ireland on a commissioned shoot for Coolmore. I hope I can see her Justify foal who thankfully survived when Melbourne’s Lockdown is over and I can get my cameras out again. 2020 has a bloody lot to answer for. #champion #thoroughbredsofinstagram #nikonphotography #nikonpro @nikonaustralia

01.01.2022 I’d been starting to feel like ANDERS was a ghost horse and that because of wretched Lockdowns that I was never going to see him. Surely hanging out with him for a little while at Mordialloc this morning is a step in the right direction!!

01.01.2022 Good luck tomorrow to gorgeous SHE SHAO FLY.
