25.01.2022 Hey there everybody.....Here's a snip it into my Bowen Therapy journey. My first taste of Bowen Therapy, I believe was back in the 80’s. As a young hairdresser I developed what I know now as some postural issues and so developed some Repetitive Strain Injuries. I remember trying at the time some more mainstream therapies, Chiropractic and Acupuncture treatments and I then went to see a Tactile Therapist. I b...elieve Bowen Therapy was the treatment, it was gentle and non-invasive. I can’t honestly remember the effects but I guess the seed was planted. Then again in the 90’s a friend of a friend offered me a Bowen treatment as part of her Bowen training, I found the experience to be very relaxing. From that point on at various stages in my life I just kept coming back to Bowen Therapy as my treatment of choice for anything and everything, finding its effects both relaxing and balancing for me. And here I am now sharing, learning and practicing Bowen Therapy myself. Wow! See more

24.01.2022 MUSIC TO MY EARS I would like to share with you something simple that can mean so much. Upon a recent follow up phone call to a new client after her first Bowen Therapy session with me ... Yes, a regular Bowen seeker!! As a referral from a colleague she came to me with some problems around restricted movement and pain in one of her arms and shoulder that she had strained during an aqua aerobic session. The injury had left her with so much discomfort and exasperated her ongoing Fibromyalgia symptoms that she was having difficulty with everyday tasks such as preparing meals, doing the shopping, laundering, driving and she generally felt out of balance. After a few days of self management and pain relief medication she gave me call. On enquiring as to how she was travelling just a few days later, I was thrilled to hear that not only had she felt so much better as she walked out of my clinic but was also feeling better on an emotional level, had been able to resume her daily tasks and stop taking pain relief medication. 14.01.2022 Mother Nature put on a Beautiful Thunderstorm for us here in the Bendigo area in the wee hours of this morning. Complete with Lightening, Rain and Hail..... Quite Spectacular Nothing like a good storm to cleanse the air and earth

12.01.2022 So, I commenced my Bowen training in 2012. My life before Bowen has been full and varied. One of 5 children..... Born and bred in Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat to be exact!... Completed year 10, then an apprenticeship in Hairdressing. Extensive travel abroad backpacking and working around parts of America, England, Europe and the Middle East, Hairdressing and Tele Sales in London, A Nanny in Kent, Teaching English in Cairo. Lived in Perth. Backpacked and worked in Hospitality in Thailand. Married and have been blessed with 4 beautiful children 2 girls now aged 19 and 15, 2 boys 13 and 11. Now here I am. Just to add that I did a brief video before I ran out of space!!! Tried to post it here on my new business page, but it went straight into my feed apparently and I can't get it loaded out here in the sticks where I live.........Check it out there!! As a mother of 4 young children at the time and already in my 40’s I started to think about what the next phase in my life was going to be. ... My trade of Hairdressing wasn’t as alluring to me anymore as I found it to be quite taxing on my body. I wanted to be able to create a work, life balance that fitted in around my family needs. The Bowen Technique is a very gentle relaxing physical therapy that supports the body’s innate ability to heal itself. It involves gentle rolling movements over muscles, tendons, and ligaments at key points of the body, influencing Fascia to release energy flow and enhance healing. Typical treatment sessions are between half an hour and an hour long, with patients lying comfortably on a massage table. Several Bowen moves are done, followed by a period of rest to enable the body to integrate the information. Bowen Therapy is a whole body treatment - helping to relieve stress, anxiety, depression and headaches, chronic illness, back injuries, bursitis, female hormonal concerns such as PMS, post-delivery and support during pregnancy as well as acute physical traumas such as sprained ankles, frozen shoulder and the list goes on....... 04.01.2022 WHAT I BRING FORWARD In the various roles I have performed over my life, I would have to say that a development of care and nurturing is at the forefront.. In hairdressing it is always about helping every individual look good and feel good about themselves... ... Knowing and seeing the joy on their faces, being able to walk away with their heads held high has given me moments of great pride and gratitude... Life before Bowen has been full and varied... My ability to make a difference in a persons daily life now shines through into my Bowen work, as I continue to respond to the needs of others in helping bring relief for them to look and feel good about themselves and be the best they can be...
