24.01.2022 Do I get tired of making hearts? No I dont. Secret Heart has many memories of treasured love and a history of connection to many pieces of art work made by myself over many years. This heart has a connection to Jim my dog of 17 years who was there for many of my sculptor years. He was my friend my family and my great love.

23.01.2022 I am giving my Leaf Table a clean up today. Using a wire brush, conola oil, and a rag and a small paint brush to get into the cracks. Wipe on, wipe off as I contemplate the relationship of respectfulness I am showing this beautiful table. In a few days it will have sunk into the steel. Stops the continuation of the rust for a period and cleans off the bug spots. So easy.

22.01.2022 Work in progress.

19.01.2022 I find the art I make takes a lot of energy, so there are times where I dont make anything as the energy is not concentrated enough. The time I have not working and building momentum is just as important in the process as the time making the work. Without one I can not get the other.

18.01.2022 A souls lesson. Shine brightly and radiate love and dont be afraid to sparkly in the sunlight.

17.01.2022 My Fish " Sun Fish Sanctified" has moved from Melbourne to New Zealand. A lovely lady contacted me to let me know it is at her beautiful property and still going strong. What a lovely surprise! I wondered what had happened to it after it left the building in Kings Way after its ten year stint there. Glad to see it gets about doing a bit of travelling.

15.01.2022 Seats in Brunswick street to be done up Ya Hay

14.01.2022 In memory of Eucalyptus Seed Pod, soon to return to the ground. Tender Heart, Eucaliptus Seed Pod, Lizards Delight were born at that time. It has survived in my... gardens for 28 years. It began its journey in the year after my 7 months trip through Asia by myself at the age of about 24. I was doing my "Eat Pray Love" experience. It was not love that had broken me, but in a way it was. The art of an artist is connected to their very soul and my soul had had a beating. As a sculptor I made things in a physical manner and in a very intuitive way.. It was not about words It was about dimension intuition, space and feeling. Making art is about personal challenge. It really has nothing to do with anybody else. It is the process of creating which is relevant. The end product once finished becomes irrelevant as for the sculptor it is physical process of creation that is important. I am so glad I stayed true to my personal integrity in making my art. Our challenges are our blessing. Thank you Eucalyptus Seed Pod for your creative presence and your essence in my life.

11.01.2022 Happy new year everyone it is going to be a good one full of dreams and blessings and love.

11.01.2022 It seems I have to keep some connection and update as to what is in the studio. Well this is Snake Arbor. Slowly developing.

10.01.2022 The work forms as it goes with an unpredictable pulling together of thoughts. I love to work this way as it opens up possibilities and unpredictabilities that add to the depth of the design that simply designing upfront does not always allow . It is risky thought as it may not work. Will it work... grow into something bigger a mirror to a side table and mirror, or stay as a simpler piece .. Will there be a element of magic in the forces coming together.Hopefully a magic .

10.01.2022 Working late in the workshop ,as the rain keeps falling in bucket loads. Love this time of year.

08.01.2022 Revisiting old work to check if it is still in place, and realising what I went through at that time. 3 seats in Brunswick Street. As artists we need to know how to stand up for ourselves and the test was in this first commission. Luckily what I make will last 50 years or more, way past any little problem. But love and respect of the piece is all that will save itHope they are there still and overcome, as they will age gracefully and give to those who wish to see its glory.

08.01.2022 There is movement at the station as my studio is dissected for renovation over the wet season. Walls to render, paint and to put back all my stuff. Singing, learning to play percussion and writing songs, I have learnt that making music is like making art in so many ways but not so isolated in the studio alone. Combining singing as I work has always worked well as the acoustics in my shed are fantastic. Also renovating at theTableland Music Lovers as we move into a bigger sp...ace of the old RSL building. All ways a challenge to work on a limited budget but a huge response from some very talented people and so much interest for this buzzing new space for creating music. Music is healing for the soul and brings joy and heals damaged hearts. So important within a community. When you sing you are in joy. When you dance you are in joy. Pure joy. See more

07.01.2022 Hi everyone thanks for the Likes. I keep preity close to my heart my art so it is nice to share a little more, the love.

06.01.2022 Going through my stuff putting it back together, I realise I have many tools I have collected from early on and latter in my career that mean a lot to me. Cleaning pieces of steel that have just sat around. Incomplete or are they actually finished? I love the history and the story these old tools hold within them. The old wooden bench whacked together by my dad. All those Diesel engines from all those trucks he pulled apart to fix. The gas gages and steel workbench my friend Anisah gave me when she finally gave up her metal work after so much incredible work as a sculptor. I still have the mig welder I brought from her so many years ago in the day of Caravan Sculpture Studios.
