22.01.2022 That was a blast of a weekend with Adelaide Chamber Music School ! A wonderful company of fellow musicians and a super faculty of tutors set in beautiful Hahndorf . We studied intensely movements of the Prokofiev’s Quartet No.2 and Myaskovsky’s Quartet No.13 , tutored by the Benaud Trio, Elizabeth Layton and Keith Crellin . Onwards to more !

14.01.2022 Bronzewing Quartet is pleased to welcome Robert M. Wallace. Robert is a violinist, composer, arranger, and educator with nearly two decades of industry experience, performing regularly as both a classical and jazz musician. He has completed a B.Mus in composition (University of Adelaide) with Grahame Koehne, an A.MusA in classical violin performance (AMEB) under Lachlan Bramble's guidance and an Adv.Dip of Contemporary Music (NRCAC). He has received specialist training in Man...ouche Jazz and Bulgarian Folk music styles with European mentors such as Tim Kliphuis and Tcha Limberger, and performs regularly with his gypsy jazz ensemble Monsieur Swing. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Jean Adelaide Madeline Dent Scholarship, and Helpmann Academy and Arts SA professional development grants. He is currently String Coordinator at Trinity College, Gawler. Robert joins Lester Wong, Rita Reichbart and Monica Myung to present a thoughtfully curated concert with vivid representations of the natural environment as a new day unfolds. 'Night into Light' will be performed at Living Choice Fullarton this Saturday 22nd June, 2.30pm. Tickets only $25 or $20 concession. 09.01.2022 Windsong Quintet heads for the hills this weekend to join an impressive lineup of Adelaide artists in a rare assemblage of woodwind and vocal talents. 'Opera Ge...ms for Voices and Winds', presented by the Adelaide Hills Music Circle, will see Windsong join with the Adelaide Hills Vocal Collective to present a program of pieces specially arranged for this combination of instruments with supreme delicacy by Adelaide up-and-coming composer Jakub Jankowski. The combination is incomparable when tuned to the music of Mozart: first, the "other worldly" quintet from Act 1 of 'The Magic Flute' and, later, the comic confusion of identities in 'Cosi fan tutte'. Surrounding these priceless aural gems are pieces for winds alone and other vocal/wind ensembles......the Letter Duet from 'The Marriage of Figaro', The Card Trio from 'Carmen', the Flower Duet from 'Madame Butterfly', the Overture from 'The Barber of Seville', the Intermezzo from 'Cavalleria rusticana' ... and much, much more! Monica has recently completed her Honours degree of Classical Performance at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, studied under Janis Laurs, Ruth Saffir and Simon Cobcroft. She has participated in the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra and the Adelaide Youth Orchestra as principal cellist, and she has also performed in masterclasses with Borodin Quartet and the Australian String Quartet. Monica has given numerous solo ...and chamber recitals as a part of Recital Australia's lunch hour concert series. She has also performed for the State Opera of SA and has toured regional Australia with Co-Opera - Opera on the Move. Monica will join Lester Wong, Robert M.
