25.01.2022 Happy Monday! Brookdale horse riding lessons now has the ability to charge through NDIS funding. If you think you are eligible please feel free to get in contact to dicuss further details.

19.01.2022 Just a reminder to all clients (and families!) to remember to wear enclosed shoes when at the property as we are now in snake season. A brown snake was spotted in the paddock getting some morning sun just this morning. We do our best to keep the snakes away but unfortunately we do share the land with them and need to remember to be safe at all times!

19.01.2022 Hi everyone! With the heightening concerns surrounding COVID-19, I wish to reassure you that our priorities remain to be the safety of our clients and horses. According to latest advice from the Australian Government Depart of Health and The World Health Organisation, it is required that individuals self isolate for 14 days if they have returned from any recent overseas trips or have come into contact with another individual who has. It has also been advised that groups ar...e to not gather either outdoors or indoors, due to this I ask that only the rider and a guardian come to lessons. Unfortunately, if you wish to bring other family members or viewers I ask that you film the ride and share it instead. If you or your child are experiencing any flu/cold-like symptoms inclusive of fever, cough, sore throat, lethargy/fatigue and/or shortness of breath, have recently travelled in the past few weeks or have been in contact with someone who; is suspected, been tested and waiting for results on or confirmed case of COVID-19, I ask that you reschedule any upcoming lessons and seek medical assistance. At Brookdale farm, our infection control procedures include: - Freshly cleaned tack for every client - Providing hand sanitizer for everyone who is on premises - Protocols including frequent handwashing and the use of disinfectant on surfaces that clients often use or touch. - Practising SOCIAL DISTANCING As we navigate this unfamiliar situation, we aim remain agile, adapting with changes to the situation as they arise. Please be assured that we will try to keep you informed as quickly as possible and that lessons may need to be cancelled on short notice. As of right now, our gate will remain open and just to remind you, every storm runs out of rain. Please stay safe and hopefully Maestro and I will see you soon!

17.01.2022 I’ve had a few people reach out asking for updates on how me and the horses are going over our break! Thank you for all your kind messages about my studies and the horses. If you want to keep updated on things that are going on here at Brookdale you can take a look at my horse Instagram page that I run @poniesandme where I usually post updates and pictures of the boys a few times a week. Please keep in mind that this Instagram is not an offical Brookdale page- it is just my... personal account. Any enquires for lessons should still be directed this Facebook page or my personal account Amelia Boyt. I hope everyone is doing well and I am excited to get back to seeing you all after my exams!

10.01.2022 Hi guys! It has come that time of year that Maestro and I are in need of a spell (aka 'horsey vacation'). From 4 September 2020 until 1 December 2020 I will not be offering lessons on Maestro to give him and me the break we need (and he deserves). In this time I will be completing my year 12 final assignments, tests and exams, as well as continuing training on my newly broken Andalusian- Shadow. Maestro will be left to laze around in the paddock for a few months to be the mud clad carrot demolisher that likes to be. I hope that you understand my decision and please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. When we return to doing lessons I will be available more often until university starts in March 2021. Thank you for your understanding.

08.01.2022 We are back! Bookings are now open for lessons starting December 1st. To book, send a private message to me. Previous clients can now use the new book online feature! You can find this at the top of our page. Please also refer to the 'services' tab to see our updated services list. Very excited to see you again soon x

06.01.2022 An updated cancellation and weather policy is as follows (any inquiries please message me) : Cancellation policy A deposit of 50% is now required to confirm your booking. This is payable by cash in person, direct deposit or PayPal. This deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is made within 48 hours of the booking time. The remaining 50% is due upon arrival before your lesson commences. If a rider is unable to continue with their ride, once mounted and at their own reques...t, no refund will be issued. Timing of cancellations is strict (to the minute)! Cancellations or reschedules must be made via phone call or text on Facebook Messenger. Rider changes are permitted, subject to my approval and are made within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson. Please be considerate as another rider may want to book that lesson time. If for some unforeseen reason we need to cancel a lesson, 24 hours notice will usually be provided, unless there has been an emergency eg. a horse is hurt. In these cases, a refund will be provided. Weather policy Brookdale Riding reserves the right to continue or cancel bookings based on an assessment of the weather on the day and time of your ride. If Brookdale Horse Riding assesses it is safe to ride, the rides will continue to operate and no reschedules or refunds will be given. If a ride is cancelled due to bad weather, a refund or reschedule will be provided to all riders. If the weather looks like it may rain, pack a rain coat. Or if it seems especially sunny, put on sunscreen! If we plan on cancelling or rescheduling your ride, we will contact you usually 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. Please remember that caring for our furry beasts is our #1 priority.
