25.01.2022 KYARA + BEN aka MARRIED These two requested a funny, laid-back and genuine ceremony. Neither of them had ever been to a wedding before so when they planned their big day... every single little detail was new to them. What a FUN journey! They walked into their wedding so relaxed and happy because the preparation that come before hand was at an all time high. After the ceremony they walked out hand in hand feeling that same all time, up in the sky 'high'. This picture is my... absolute favourite moment. It's as genuine as any wedding photography can be. It's not staged... it captures that first moment of being husband and wife. These two met in high school and I adored their story. I adore them, their family members and all of their friends! 19.01.2022 My final Maleny Manor Top 20 mention ~ KYARA + BEN There were so many moments and details that blew us away during this wedding day... including the breathtaking circular floral arbour by the amazing Mondo, meaningful aisle music that was mixed and perfectly timed by Aaron from Cutarudj and heartfelt personally written vows... but something that was very different from any other wedding that I officiated in 2020, was the styling of the smokin hot bride tribe in suits! ...Check them out Kyara swapped her dress out for a comfortable suit once all the formalities had taken place. 14.01.2022 Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in... your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. 01.01.2022 Little People If you have them in your life, let's make them a special part of your Ceremony. For a lot of families, the commitment in marriage is also just as much about their children as it is them, so we make them feel special too. I've had kids read their parents a poem or even a page out of their favourite family book. I've had parents make vows to children and children make vows to step parents. I've had kids sign the marriage certificate and also adult ch...ildren be Witnesses for the marriage. I had kids sing, dance and throw flower petals. I've had kids be flower girls, ring bearers, bridesmaids, groomsmen and best men. I've even had a very special girl perform the duty of Keeper of the vows. I've had kids be involved by making special ring boxes and other craft pieces used in the ceremony. I've had kids be involved in a special first look with their mum. Or like in this pic, I've had kids sit on a very special matt in the centre of the ceremony, right in the action Harvey and Lincoln were definitely feeling the love this day and was so very cute to each other giving cuddles and looks of love. In the past I've had one particular little man who refused to return the Mic to me after his reading. I've had one particular little flower girl who sat in the middle of the aisle and refused to walk any further until I removed the rock out of her shoe. I've had several children who didn't want to play nicely and follow their parents instructions... but sometimes these are the little things that make your ceremony extra special. These are the things we will all laugh about and remember in years to come. Plus it helps that I've had years of experience in my previous job as a primary school teacher. I've used my behaviour management strategies so many times during weddings (not only for the kids) Chat to me about a unique way to involve your little people in your big day @artographyweddings
