01.01.2022 Every day, during my morning devotions, I meet my fear. Some days, I am more willing than others. This last week there has been an underlying unease in my system. ... This last week my ego has tried to ignore it. 'You don't need to go there.' So I've let my devotions slip. I've slept in past my meditation time. I've let the stories that I'm tired; it's school holidays; I'm busy, allow me the luxury of sleeping in. This morning my intuition, my greater consciousness, was having none of it. This morning I was woken early to meditate. This morning as I meditated, I met my fear. I fear I will disappoint others. Then it hit me. That wasn't my fear at all. My fear was....I fear I will disappoint myself. This fear has brought the saboteur out to play. The saboteur has allowed myself to be distracted, to not be committed, to not show up in my full power. As I lay in meditation, I was asked... When I lay at the end of my life, would I prefer the ache of disappointment knowing I didn't do life to my fullest capacity, or knowing that I lived life striving constantly, failing at times and continuing on? Instantly I knew the answer. Instantly I felt that ache of disappointment, and I knew I never want to experience this again. This morning I met my fear. And then I chose to show up. For myself, for you, for us all. Brooke x
