22.01.2022 Boundaries are our limits around our time, energy, + space. All of us have needs + boundaries with the people in our lives allow us to meet those needs. Many f...eel feel silly or embarrassed when they realize they don’t have boundaries. Most of us are available 24/7, we say yes when we mean no, we don’t have awareness of what our needs even are This is because few of us grew up in homes with clear boundaries. Most of us were enmeshed meaning there was one person who controlled the emotional climate of our homes. And, a lack of boundaries allowed us to feel close. This superficial closeness can be very confusing. A clear sign that we are needing boundaries in our lives is: burnout, resentment, + feeling like you’re being taken advantage of.
