25.01.2022 Love this post from Raised Good Hugs, midnight cuddles and comforting have no expiry date. Breastfeed to sleep and through the night if it works for you mama (it did for me!).... Lay with your 5 or 8 or 12-year-old as they fall asleep if they need you to (or if you want to!). Hold them close. Forget the milestones and accept the as is of the present moment, the reality of very slow pace of healthy child development. Don't judge or second guess. Flow, don't resist. Snuggle with your toddler. Hug your teen. Let them be little. Let yourself fall deeply in love with this new soul who shares your life. Affection and loving touch cannot "spoil" your child - it is the opposite that's true! See more

Honestly, before becoming a mum, self-care was a lot of the stuff in the left column. It’s changed since then and that’s okay. Our circumstances, mood, finances, and energy may require us to be a bit flexible with how we care for ourselves ... It’s not necessarily what we do, but the fact that we are making it a priority to tend to our personal needs. You may notice that when you’re feeling your worst, brushing your hair or making your bed will feel like a victory Take away: don’t compare how you care for yourself to how others do it Feel free to share below - what does self-care look like for you or how this has changed over the years?
