19.01.2022 Wow! 12 months today since my announcement as the CEO of Common Grace. Whilst I didn't start until February 2020 this was an exciting moment. I'm loving being the leader of a movement pursuing Jesus and justice. Together I can see us building the Australia I dream of - an Australia built on truth, justice, love and hope. If you are able, please consider becoming a monthly donor - details on the website. Also "like" Common Grace on social media and invite your friends to like. We are 200 short of 15,000 likes on Facebook - the 15,000 person gets a free T-Shirt. But don't forget Instagram and Twitter too. Thanks for all your love and prayers. Let's all be Common Grace! And Happy NAIDOC!!!
18.01.2022 During COVID-19 I had some exciting news but it kind of got lost in COVID-19 which meant book launches didn't happen. My chapter "Dangerous Memories in these lands now called Australia: Do the Exiles hear the call to country" in the Not in Kansas Morling publication is published and available for purchase here: https://www.morling.edu.au/shop/not-in-kansas-anymore/ It also has the incredible artwork of Jasmin Roberts @MyTimeForDreaming on the back cover. Also my very first t...heological paper that I delivered back in 2016 at the Global Network of Public Theology in South Africa has finally been published as two chapters in "Enacting a Public Theology" ed. Clive Pearson. The two chapters co-authored with Rev Dr Geoff Broughton are "Reconciliation without Repentance and the Postponement of Indigenous Justice" and "Recognition without Dignity and the Postponement of Indigenous Justice". It is available for purchase here: https://www.amazon.com.au/Enacting-Public-Theo//1928314678 See more
18.01.2022 As you know I spend alot of time looking at my feet and acknowledging country. Truth be told every breath I take acknowledges country and the Creator. But we must remember the sky. Country is all land, water, sky, trees, plants, animals, birds, fish, mountains, rocks, and all peoples. So grateful for the Elders who teach "Care for country and country will care for you". Take time to look at the sky today and do an #acknowledgementofcountry #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #AboriginalLand

01.01.2022 Good morning! Last night I helped to bring awareness and fundraise for youth homelessness as CEO of @commongraceaus by sleeping in my car to support @fusionmorningtonpeninsula Thanks to all who donated - they need only $500 more to reach their goal of $25,000! Did you know on Census night 2011 1 in 20 Aboriginal people were homeless? And 4 of every 10 of those homeless Aboriginal peoples was under 18 years old? Did you know Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are 2.8% of the Australian population but are 23% of the Australian homeless population. https://sleepinyourcar2020.gofundraise.com.au//BrookePrent
