17.01.2022 Brookfield State School is excited to offer the Commonwealth Bank School Banking program to all students. School Banking is a fun, interactive and engaging way for young Australians to learn about money and develop good savings habits. Children who deposit money into their Youthsaver account through School Banking earn Dollarmites tokens, which they can save up and redeem for exciting rewards. The rewards available during 2020 are:... o Terry Denton’s Activity Book o Mini Soccer Ball (size 2) o Treetop Stationary Set o Treetop Handball o Tomato Seed Kit o Magic Mist Drink Bottle o Emoji Wallet o Snakes & Ladders Game School Banking is also a great fundraiser for our school. Our school receives a Regular Savers Contribution of $5 for every 10 deposits processed per student as well as an Annual Contribution which is based on the number of students who made at least one School Banking deposit in the prior year. Getting involved in School Banking is easy! All you need to get involved in the School Banking program is a Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account. You can open an account for your child in one of two ways: 1. Online Visit commbank.com.au/schoolbanking and click on the link to open a Youthsaver account. 2. In branch Visit a Commonwealth Bank branch with identification for yourself and your child, like a driver’s licence and birth certificate. If your child has an existing Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account they can start banking straight away. They just need to bring their deposit in every week on School Banking day using their Dollarmites deposit wallet. School Banking day is THURSDAY Each week you need to drop your banking wallet the Admin Office for processing by a parent volunteer. If you would like to know more about School Banking, please ask for a 2020 School Banking program information pack from the school office or visit www.commbank.com.au/schoolbanking

02.01.2022 Welcome back to Term 3! A little bit of Tuckshop and Uniform Shop news Annual Pricing Review: Each year Tuckshop and Uniform shop pricing is reviewed in lieu of supplier price changes, to ensure costs are being covered. Whilst every effort is made to keep pricing as low as possible, both the Tuckshop and Uniform shop pricing has been updated to reflect this annual review.... Term 3 Tuckshop menu changes: New items: - Sues special Homemade Pumpkin Soup with Dinner Roll (vegetarian) - $3 (perfect for these chilly winter days!) - Cheese and Ham Scrolls $1.50 - We are now offering individual pieces of seasonal fruit ($1 a piece): - Green Apple - Mandarin Items not available in Term 3: - Sushi (reduced demand in Winter) - Tucker Boxes (reduced demand in Winter) - Fruit pots, Jelly & Fruit Pots, Custard & Fruit Pots, Apple Slinky these items will be replaced with individual pieces of fruit during Term 3 on a trial basis (and less packaging!). Unfortunately the fruit pots are (1) not particularly popular, (2) very time consuming for our volunteers and (3) spoil easily.
