25.01.2022 2020 ARCHA National finals OPen 2 Handed Cow Horse. We had a blast going down the fence, finished equal second in this event. Well done to show organisers. The show was a lot of fun.

22.01.2022 Well, its mid-winter and covid is playing havoc in Vic, but here at Tallara, it's a lot like business as usual. Training horses, Starting young ones, Bodywork on horses, and Saddle making. It's not all bad at this time, looking forward to some shows and drafts later in the year.

22.01.2022 Home school with Brook Hazlett Horsemanship. Kids at home I'm in charge of home schooling. Day 1- Create a bucking bull. Use all re purposed materials. Be creative, trial and error, use tools, learn new skills, problem solve. Phys Ed lesson too. Life lesson also( if you wear shorts your legs get scrubbed) Day 2- Modify and improve "the bull". Curriculum has expanded. Now includes Colt starting and young horse training. Sheep shearing. Day 3- Bull has become a saddle bronc. Roping, heading and heeling.(At least having first go at it) Cattle working in the camp. Poddy ride. Laugh together. Note the cattle are 3 pet poddys, they will do anything for a feed. Now I am told schools are providing their own curriculum. We have to wait until 3.30 to have some fun.

14.01.2022 I am pretty happy with how this Reined Cow Horse style saddle has finished out, I built it for myself for the Reined Cow Horse Futurity. It rides great, crossing fingers it will get to out and about come, November. Call me an optimist.

12.01.2022 Big thank you to Gavin Hudson and the Skipton Campdraft Club for inviting me to Coach a Campdraft/ Horsemanship Clinic last weekend. The venue was the beautiful Weering Station, so a thank you goes out to them also. The facilities were great and the people were a good positive group to work with. A good way to ride into December.
