22.01.2022 A luxury family residence inspired with contemporary references to the understated elegance and timeless architectural style of the Hamptons. The spatial challenge of the brief was resolved by creating a simple elongated U shaped plan sited parallel to the river. The arrangement is essentially based on the principle of a one room deep home with lofty and open free flowing spaces set to achieve order, hierarchy and open plan linkage. The simplicity inherent in the floor plan... promotes and achieves cross flow ventilation, even light and temperature control throughout all times of the year. The material composition used in the home both internally and externally conveys an inherent architectural language to the home which is timeless and unique to itself. 18.01.2022 The bohemian brand developed for the new Planet Books store in the inner city Perth suburb of Mt Lawley sought to compliment Planets long standing and very successful cult video store outlet. With inspiration sought from tea chest packaging, a simple and very cost effective form of book racking and box display system was developed. The concept of a box and the way in which a box could be manipulated, stacked, pulled down and re-arranged became the catalyst for a space that provided an ever-changing canvas and endless possibilities for on-going display. Inserted within a newly built space, the interior setting remains in a raw construction state with an absence of finish. The insertion of contemporary furniture settings create pockets in which to sit, kick back and browse.

15.01.2022 The design of a contemporary beach-side home, the core design philosophy centres on a solution that incorporates intelligent building elements within the fabric of the residence that enable the occupants to control and adapt to the impact of the prevailing weather conditions whilst providing for a high degree of amenity and comfort. The built form solution is both a response to the functional requirements of the brief for space, light, flexibility and is inspired by the free flowing coastal patterns. Externally the material palette comprises of robust materials such as glass, zinc, textured stone.

13.01.2022 From Concept Design to Development. Here is an update on the creative Nature Play ground designed for John Septimus Roe Anglican School at their Mirrabooka campus.

10.01.2022 This heritage listed Fremantle loft interior space was themed with a central core and is an insertion into the space. Used as a storage facility it creates a theatrical backdrop concealing a hidden staircase to the mezzanine level which houses the master bedroom and ensuite. The unit acts to divide the space creating a sense of intimacy whilst at the same time providing functionality. It houses the study desk, plasma tv, pantry and additional storage.

07.01.2022 This food and beverage concept will be the first in a national roll out at the forefront and the dawn of a new age of boutique breweries. Seeking inspiration from the emerging Gastro-pub movement across the world, this venue will bridge the gap and lay the trend of the merging of fine bohemian food and beer. The first concept venue situated in the centre of the cappuccino strip in the Port City of Fremantle follows the traditions of the great European market stalls, the ability to pick and graze from a central hub of beer production, and raw and cooked bohemian food. The interior space is devoid of clich design statements and is founded on underlying principles which re-in force the unique brand and its food and beverage operations.

04.01.2022 A contemporary residential design for a growing teenage family constructed within the spatial limits defined by the existing basement footprint. The spatial challenges of the brief were resolved by developing a clever solution to add two floors over the existing footprint, but to disguise these by way of enveloping them in an overall roof/wall form which blurs the lines between what is a wall and what is roof.

03.01.2022 The 2013 presentation of the Australian Interior Design Awards marks a decade of design excellence. The 10 year anniversary was celebrated in style at the Melbournes historic Plaza Ballroom, located beneath the Regent Theatre. A retrospective of Australian interior design, as showcased through Australias most respected forum for the recognition of professional interior design practice, was the major feature of the evening.
